With this inception, the limited edition ‘MicroFreak Vocoder Edition’, there’s 14 digital oscillator modes, velvet-like analogue filters, an abundance of modulation/randomisation controls and some serious vocoding power!
Arturia have designed an entirely new 16-band mode to mutate your voice in the ‘Freakiest’ manner possible. Arturia packed the vocoder engine with 3 waveforms – sawtooth, pulse width and noise – whilst the ‘Timbre’ and ‘Shape’ controls offer a hugely sensitive response across the 16 frequency bands.
‘MicroFreak Vocoder Edition’, does much more than just ‘robot’ vocals too. There’s 16 new presets to offer instant access to android translations, crystalline harmonies and vibe-heavy sequences galore! It’s even possible to connect an external sound source such as a drum machine or synth, through the headphone jack for some truly ‘freaky’ sound processing!

Via the utility menu, you can set your preferred mic gain and noise gate parameters.
