Product Overview

Arctic MX-4 Premium Thermal Paste

The ARCTIC MX-4 8g Thermal Paste with Spatula provides reliable, high-performance thermal transfer between your CPU or GPU and cooler, helping dissipate heat quickly and efficiently. Its carefully balanced consistency makes the MX-4 easy to apply, while its non-drying and non-bleeding properties provide consistent long-term performance. The metal-free and electrically non-conductive formula offers safe application, while the included spatula makes it easy to spread the thermal compound evenly across your component. Supplied in an 8g resealable syringe, ARCTIC MX-4 is an excellent choice for PC building, upgrades and maintenance.

Optimal Consistency for Every Application

Depending on personal preference and area of application, a thinner or thicker thermal compound may be preferred. Excellent non-drying and non-bleeding properties ensure constant long-term performance. With ARCTIC thermal pastes you will find the optimal viscosity for your application.

Highest Thermal Conductivity

The surfaces of processor chips and cooler floors are covered with microscopic dents; ARCTIC‘s MX-4 thermal paste is composed of microparticles which fill these cavities. This leads to extremely high thermal conductivity, guaranteeing that heat is dissipated quickly and efficiently from the CPU or GPU. With its outstanding performance, the MX-4 is not only an excellent choice for overclockers and enthusiasts, but also for other applications that require thermal transmission. MX-4 proves without a doubt that great performance does not necessarily require a high price.

Easy Application

Thanks to its consistency, MX-4 is easy to apply, even for beginners. The video below demonstrates the application technique to avoid air pockets between processors and coolers.

Secure Usage

In contrast to pastes based on metal oxides or liquid metal, ARCTIC’s MX-4 is metal-free and not electrically conductive.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.
