Great little processor, turbo at 4GHz dual core with low heat temp. Graphics are basic but good for intergrated, good for basic games when used with a decent HDD and moderate amount of RAM. Also the stock CPU cooler included (fan) keeps the temp low enough to be safe.
I have rated as excellent for the entry level market.

This CPU absolutely wowed me after completing my first Mid-Range Build. Its speed and accuracy running low-intensity tasks was spectacular, and it was able to run not very demanding games at a good FPS. Based on its price, I have no negatives for this product. Looking for a low-price, decent CPU Capable of doing all your everyday tasks with ease? Buy the AMD A6-6400K.

Ended up taking the plunge with an AMD A series APU for my HTPC. I previously had an AM3 Athlon with a Radeon 3000 integrated GPU. I am VERY impressed with this CPU. Performance in Windows 8.1 is snappy, plays back HD video in XBMC flawlessly. It runs at a sensible temp (36c idle 55c - 60c load). I've only seen it at full load when pushing it playing Civ5 with details set high @ 720p. The bundled cooler is decent quality and not too noisy and I haven't felt the need to replace it (as I have with all AM3 chips I've bought.) Even the picture quality is improved over my old setup. Also best of all I used a power meter to test and the complete system runs @ 24 watts idle and the max load I've registered is 64 watts. While playing HD movies on XBMC is runs at a steady 33 watts. For comparison the 65w TDP AM3 Athlon system run at 42 watts idle, +100 watts full tilt and 53 watts while playing back HD video. So this is a massive improvement on every front.
For £36 this has to beat the Pentium hands down and the cheapest i3 is £80! I highly recommend this CPU for a HTPC application or even for a home / office PC. Dedicated gaming PC though I think you would be disappointed...

Decent CPU with an integrated GPU capable of doing most everyday tasks. If you want it for gaming though you are probably better off getting a dedicated graphics card. It's a cheap chip so you can't expect too much from it.
The one major issue I had with this CPU is that it runs really hot. Maybe I got a bad chip but at stock speeds with 100% CPU, the temperature was reaching 85 degrees C. That's not a healthy temperature. I had to buy a separate aftermarket CPU cooler and good thermal paste (Arctic MX-4). The CPU now idles around 40 degrees C (still not great but my case isn't the best) and 70-something under full load (at 4100 MHz). Pretty happy with it now, but AMD chips are known for running hot so they really should include a better cooler.
TLDR: If you buy this CPU get a heatsink and fan while you're at it.
