Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Good res! I bought this reservoir as part of my first water cooling loop. When it first arrived I couldn't utilise it because it doesn't come with a g1/4 inch thread. I had to buy a separate adaptor for the res. Even though this proved to be a pain, I just had to wait a couple of days for the new part. It comes with an adaptor to mate the pump directly to the res, and I chose the wrong one so please be careful and make sure that you get the right one. It is very high quality as expected with Alphacool products, the acrylic is very clear and comes with no hazing. It almost looks like real glass, but just remember that over time, pretty much all reservoirs stain after having coloured coolant running through them. It comes with no mounting hardware so you have to work out how you are going to mount it, or buy suitable mounting options. But overall I am happy with the product and fits my rig nicely as it's not too big and not too small. 08 October 2014
