Allen & Heath’s new SQ SLink gives engineers the option to add an intelligent SLink port to any of the SQ series desks. Featuring the same functionality as the built-in SLink port, the SLink card gives connection to an additional 128 inputs and 128 outputs of digital audio and brings forth a whole new range of potential for the SQ series.
The option card acts independently from the built-in SLink port, which allows two different Allen & Heath protocols to be used in the same system at the very same time. Now with two SLink ports it’s possible to combine a desk from the SQ series with any ME personal monitoring system, DX (96kHz) or dSnake (48kHz) expander.
This all means that now any desk from the SQ range featuring an SLink card can now be connected to another QU, SQ or dLive system, ensuring that the system’s expansion and opportunity for digital FOH/monitor splits, broadcast feeds and much more.
