At the heart of the SQ-6 is a high-res 7” capacitive touchscreen, surrounded by a variety of illuminated encoders to give an intuitive, user friendly and integrated blend of easy to see visual feedback and instant hands on control. Each channel and each mix is able to be moved with a simple ‘drag and drop’ process to any strip, alongside customised naming and colour coding, allowing you to tailor a mixing environment which lets you work how you want to work. Each strip features Allen & Heath’s patented chromatic channel metering system, allowing you an at-a-glance indicator of levels, thanks to the LED’s featuring adjustable brightness and colours.

limitless potential The SQ series is compatible with the ‘ME Personal Mixing System’, a system devised to allow performers to have complete control of their own monitor mixes. ...And for the artists Allen & Heath have developed 2 utterly essential apps for the SQ range. The ‘SQ MixPad’ for engineers, and ‘SQ4You’ for artists. SQ MixPad is a free to download app, for iOS, Android, Windows and macOS platforms, which provides handy suite for editing offline, and online wired or wireless control of the SQ’s main mixing functionalities. ‘SQ4You’ on the other hand is a personal mixing app to work alongside the SQ series mixers, which allows as many as 8 artists to have complete control over their mix in the monitors from Android or iOS devices, leaving the engineer to have total focus on the FOH sound.

Create the perfect mix Allen & Heath’s new SQ-6 desk holds all the processing power you could need to produce the perfect mix, and more. Each of the 48 inputs has HPF, a high-speed gate with sidechain and filter, a musical 4-band parametric EQ and Peak/RMS compressor to give you maximum control and shaping of levels and transients. Mixes have parametric and 28 bands graphic EQ alongside compressor as standard, each of these ready to switch in when you need.

48 XLR Input / 16 XLR Output Portable GX Expander with DX Sockets The GX4816 is the new flagship audio expander from Allen & Heath, providing high-input-count remote expansion for SQ, Avantis and dLive mixing desks.

The GX8416 comes loaded with 48 dLive mic preamps, each preamp with its own individual Phantom Power LED indicator, 16 XLR line outs. An additional 2 DX ports are provided for connecting to a maximum of 4 DX expanders for further I/O expansion. It’s possible to connect to a ME personal mixer via the DX2 socket.

Connection between the GX4816 couldn’t be simpler, simply connect via one CAT5e cable to an Slink socket on an SQ or Avantis desk, or, to an gigaACE audio netword card on a dLive system.

high-quality connectivityThe Custom Lynx flexible, drum mounted CAT5E cable system is made using Rean SFTP (Screened Foiled Twisted Pair) CAT5E cable and Rean etherCON connectors. Shielded RJ45 plugs are grounded to the etherCON shells on both ends. The drum itself is very solid and made from a hard solid plastic. It has a rubberised handle and brake feature on the back of the drum. The cable is very flexible and similar in feel to microphone cable. This cable is jet black in colour, with nickel silver coloured shell connectors. Available in a range of set lengths.
