Rated 5 out of 5 by from This does what it says on the tin My motherboard had a USB 3.1 Gen 2 header but did not connect to any outlet on my computer (it exposed a type C socket, did not have it as anything other than 3.0). I bought this adapter, plugged it in fixed it to the backplane and bingo, all the promised functionality was there as promised. My docking station now offers what it should, at a modest price.
