Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, cheap, works Can't really give this a full review as the PC I was fitting the drive into is missing a couple of 3.5" bay adapters. The Akasa adapter is just acting as a support for a 2.5" SSD sitting on the base of the case. It does that just fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A nice adapter, but check fitting before buying These Akasa AK-HDA-03 2.5" to 3.5" drive bay adapters are nicely made items of good value. All fixing screws are included. The four 3.5" bay fixing holes are tapped with the standard 6-32UNC-2B thread at the full 3.5" drive pitch of 4.00". They can therefore be fitted to any standard 3.5" drive bay - important for some types of case - Lian-Li, for example. The 2.5" drive fixing screws are standard cheese head M3 coarse thread, 4mm long. The 2.5" drive is positioned centrally in the adapter which looks nice, but can give rise to fitting problems. It means that when the adapter is fitted into a standard 3.5" drive cage the 2.5" drive's SATA connectors are not in the same plane or aligned with 3.5" drives mounted in the same cage. The connectors are recessed in the bay and can therefore be difficult to reach with the connectors. There are alternative 2.5/3.5 adapters available that position the drive connectors in exactly the same location as 3.5" drives, but most are too short to accommodate the standard 4.00" fixing pitch of a 3.5" drive. This can cause problems when fitting and fixing this type of adapter into a standard 3.5" bay on some cases. Some cases will not have the required fixing holes and with some Lian-Li cases the adapter will not be properly fixed and slide across the bay. So check the case and your requirements and dimensions carefully before buying!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin How can you review something so simple... Was a little awkward to get the screws into the SSD I was mounting but not overwhelmingly difficult, I was just being stupid I think. Also one can mount two small SSD drives in one caddy which is nice.
