Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed bay, used for memory card reader. Considering the price, it is a very good adapter, as I expected from Akasa. Fits perfectly in my machine, holes drilled to allow screwdriver access for mounting the 3.5 inch card reader.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One small design flaw Bought this to fit a 3.5" 3TB drive. The one small design flaw is that the mounting holes in the bottom section need to be 1-2 mm further back. Why? Because you have to remove at least the smaller/inner front piece to allow the hard drive to line up with said holes. Thus creating an entry point for dust to get in which means you then have to do preventative maintenance more often - which defeats the purpose of dust filters etc. If you're buying it to fit a 2.5" drive or card reader (it's other 2 uses) then you'll be fine. However, due to this oversight, which isn't something I'd expect from Akasa, I wouldn't recommend this product. I now have to either tape over the hole or buy some plasti-card and cut 2-3 pieces to size to make the "hole" disappear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value for money, easy to fit Purchased to allow us to reuse the multi-media 3.5" drive from our old machine in the 5.25" bay in the new machine. Did what it said on the tin. Can't fault it - it was installed within 10 minutes of being delivered.
