A Fully Customisable Playing SurfaceDrumBeam’s silicone playing surface can be divided into multiple custom zones, each freely assignable to MIDI notes, control changes, or other MIDI messages. Zone size, position, colour and response curves can all be tailored to your setup, making it easy to design layouts for finger drumming, stick work, rolls, or melodic playing. This flexibility makes DrumBeam equally at home triggering drum racks, sample libraries, loops, or hardware synths.
Deep Expression Through Position & GestureBeyond velocity sensitivity, DrumBeam tracks hit position and continuous pressure, unlocking expressive techniques not possible on standard pads. Subtle movements across the surface can be mapped to filters, pitch, effects or modulation, while gestures like squeezing or choking the surface can send additional MIDI data for dramatic performance control — all without reaching for knobs or faders.
