System Buses & Bandwidth
System Buses & Bandwidth
Date Issued: 21st Oct 2008

In computing terms, system buses are used to connect various components to the motherboard’s core logic and, often, to each other. Modern PCs run with a multitude of high-speed buses ranging from the interconnects between, say, the chipset and the CPU, graphics card, memory, and peripherals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by good service, good product. no complaints Received goods promptly, no hassle, product functions correctly, what more do you say when you receive overall excellent service. 04 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Reliable Ram I originally purchased this kit back when it was around £60, as 8GB was enough for me at the time anyway. But I recently purchased another 8GB as I am doing a lot of 3D modelling and rendering, so far 16GB seems sufficient for my needs. Although anyone building a strictly gaming system, 8GB is more than enough for today's games. I have yet to have any problems with this ram and Scan seem like the best place to get it at the moment. One thing I would say is, if you have a large cpu cooler I would recommend Corsairs "LP" or low profile version. 12 November 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by buying ram To be honest for the price its not bad but not the best I was told to go for the split 4gb sticks instead of a single 8gb stick and I'm not shore it was the right choice but over all scan as a company are really good love the next day delivery. 17 April 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Great memory great service as always thanks a lot 16 gb total 21 January 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best performance for unoverclocked Haswell For a Haswell S1150, if you keep with standard clock speeds, 1600MHz dual channel is the fastest configuration. This memory, able to do that at a relatively low latency of 9-9-9-24 at the typical 1.5V is a great buy. On my Gigabyte motherboard, I had to enable XMP profiles in the UEFI config (BIOS replacement) to get it to run at full speed, but that was enough; no manual adjustment required. 10 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good ram This is very good ram that has worked perfectly since I got it. It runs flawlessly at its rated speeds and voltage. Since it is high profile ram, it's worth mentioning to prospective buyers that it may get in the way of larger cpu heatsinks. That said, I am using a closed loop water cooler so I don't have any problems with it. Scan's service was excellent - my package arrived promptly and securely. 26 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's RAM RAM is pretty much all the same today, I just liked the heat spreader on this so I picked it up. 5/5 (: 21 January 2014

Answer:
Yes this will work just fine. You may need to enter your bios and set the RAM's xmp profile to get the full 1600 mhz speed as some motherboards default memory to 1333 mhz. Also be aware of height clearance with any large cpu cooler. If you have a large cpu cooler, get the low profile version of this ram.
