HX750i - Corsair Power Supply - Fully Modular ATX PSU

Corsair HX750i Power Supply 80PLUS - Platinum

Corsair HXi 750W Power Supply

This HXi Series power supply from Corsair has a total power output of 750W, other advantages to the HX750i are that it gives you extremely tight voltage control virtually silent operation, and a fully modular cable set. The 80PLUS Platinum efficiency rating and Zero RPM Fan Mode mean that at low to medium loads, the fan doesn’t spin at all. And when you do push the HXi hard, the thermally controlled fan spins only as fast as it needs to. Even when the fan isn't running the HX750i has specially selected components to reduce electronic noise for a near silent PSU.

750W Corsair HX750i, 80PLUS Platinum, Full Modular, SLI/CrossFire, Single Rail, 62.5A +12V, 1x140mm Fan, ATX PSU is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good build and silent operation Replaced an older Corsair 650 can't fair the quality and would always opt for Corsair PSU first time every time

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power to the people Generally a PSU is a PSU, right, so there's not a lot to say, but this device does have a couple of nice features. 1. So far, even under load I've not had the fan kick in. So overall I'd call this a silent PSU. Right now it's sat at 33C and the fan at 0rpm 2. The Corsair Link is not essential, but it is a nice to have for monitoring what's going on with the PSU (in terms of the previously mentioned two stats) If I had to pick a couple of faults... The modular connectors on the PSU could be better labelled. It would also be nice if the Link cable could be made a little thinner. If I was going to REALLY nitpick, then the included cables could be better quality and they could supply dedicated 6 and 8 pin PCIe cables rather than the split kind - but all the above faults are the same across almost every manufacturer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully packaged, excellent monitoring software and very quiet I've needed a replacement for my aging Coolmaster 750W psu as it was beginning to cause issues with my GTX 980ti. My criteria for a new psu was primarily stable power, reliability and the ability to monitor voltages. With the Corsair HX750 it managed to fulfil all these expectations admirably. The PSU itself is very quiet and provides rock solid performance across a varied load range, temperatures were more than acceptable and the Corsair link software and usb link has come along in leaps and bounds since it's update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality and performance This well-made power supply is efficient, quiet and does everything it says on the tin. The "no fan" low-power operation is a bonus of those wanting a quiet PC. Voltage stability is excellent and the Link software enables you to see exactly what's going on. A first class product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended for capability and quality. Get this product. Do not skimp on your power supply... This may seem unimportant at first glance, but if your power supply dies it can kill your entire computer. This power supply allows you to monitor the performance of it in terms of efficiency, power draw from the grid and power production for the computer. Everything about this PSU is made with quality and stability in mind and I would not hesitate to recommend this range of PSU's to anyone looking for a high quality product. If you cheap out on a power supply, one day you will regret it. Trust me, I have experience of this with cheap brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can't hear anything from this PSU I may have slightly over spec'd, as the fan never needs to spin, but I like that, it knows not to spin, it's a rock solid PSU that can get 8 3.25 SATA spinning disks up and running without missing a beat and then just carry on trucking. Comes with everything you might need to plug lots and lots of things in. It's not my thing, but this looks like it would be THE solution for a two or three GPU setup as there is plenty of connections available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great Corsair Product I generally don't have a great deal of knowledge of Power Supply Units in general but as always I researched prior to the purchase of this particular product. I have used Corsair products for a good 5-7 years and thus far haven't ran into any unsatisfactory products and this continues on with this HX750i. Good points -Cosmetically it has a sleek clean finish to the unit. -The modular interface is aptly labelled for easy reading and connecting for the user. -The original packaging is sturdy, the PSU comes in a Corsair clothed black bag with logo printed. -The cables included are located within a Velcro sealed bag so any unused cables are easily stored . -Power supply has worked perfectly for 2/3 weeks now with no hiccups or trips. -Black finished cables blend well to the inside colour of my case. This makes them almost non-visible. -With my PC being on the floor and away from sensitive audible distance, I assume the passive cooling works well as I haven't heard any additional noise from the fan booting up. *Haven't done much reporting on corsair link yet to gauge the overall efficiently for my system but from other research/reviews i assume it will be 92% or slightly higher* Bad points -The cables themselves (as well as connectors) are very stiff and sometimes it is difficult to get them to bend into certain sockets on your motherboard. -Unsure whether other people have had this issue or not but the motherboard ATX connector for the PSU is so close together on the PSU interface it proved incredibly difficult to plug them both in without one of them popping out slightly. Overall very pleased with this product, if you don't feel like spending £120 on a PSU, for the same wattage you could invest in the RM series at £100 with gold efficiently.
