1000W Corsair HX1000i, 80 PLUS Platinum, Full Modular, SLI/CrossFire, Single/Multi Rail, 83.3A +12V, 140mm Fan, ATX PSU is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Review It's really awesome looks and feels good quality and when powered on it's awesome and quite. I would definitely recommend this power supply because it's well worth the money. As well I'm going to be buy more from Scan. :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a completely silent PC Needed a new PSU after upgrading my graphics card. I chose this because of its semi-fanless design - I like silence. The system it is installed in rarely goes above 250W so I've not actually heard the fan spin at any point during normal use (aside from when pressing the button to test the fan). It's of course not performing at optimum efficiency being so underloaded, but the difference is minor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed Am very impressed with this power supply and its flat cables. Many people have commented against the flat cables but I found them much easier to keep out of the cooling air stream. As to yet the fan hasn't needed to come on so it runs very quiet

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good PSU Good power supply unit, the additional cables that come with it make it a lot easier when trying to add all components in a PC build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A reliable PSU The fact that it's a Corsair PSU should be enough for most people. It also has modular cables, which was a big help, as I had to fit it into a fairly small case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than enough power The only reason i went for this over others is the awsome Corsair Digital link wich is awsome displays all the voltage rails and power in watts is also a weight off shoulders as can see how much watts im using for future upgrades!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's efficiency is 80+ Nice power supply unit, quality manufacturing and its efficiency is spot on with 80+ certified on my pc with GTX 780 in 2-way SLI, i7-3820 cpu at 3.8GHz plus 16GB of quad channel RAM an SSD and optical drive, the 12V rail is 12.96V across the board. It has replaced an aging HX850W PSU and the 12V rail was dipping below this line too much. All in all and especially for the price i think it is a top notch PSU that is capable of supplying power efficiently to a fairly high end gaming pc like mine.

Questions & Answers

Braided Cables

Hi, I just wondered what braided corsair cables are complatible with this, and what's the difference with the gen 2 cables?
Asked by: swaylight
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsair-individually-sleeved-psu-dc-cable-kittype-3-%28gen-2%29-for-axi-ax-hx-rm-txm-red There are other colours but the red ones are beautiful. I would however avoid the corsair ones and look at the Cablemod cables. the general wireing is alot easier to manage and when you mix them with cable combs you wont be disapointed!
