Corsair HXi 850W Power Supply

This HXi Series power supply from Corsair has a total power output of 850W, other advantages to the HX1000i are that it gives you extremely tight voltage control virtually silent operation, and a fully modular cable set. The 80PLUS Platinum efficiency rating and Zero RPM Fan Mode mean that at low to medium loads, the fan doesn’t spin at all. And when you do push the HXi hard, the thermally controlled fan spins only as fast as it needs to. Even when the fan isn't running the HX1000i has specially selected components to reduce electronic noise for a near silent PSU.

1000W Corsair HX1000i, 80 PLUS Platinum, Full Modular, SLI/CrossFire, Single/Multi Rail, 83.3A +12V, 140mm Fan, ATX PSU is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bought this not because I needed it now but because I wanted room for the future. And I have to say, from the quality of the included cables (although I did end up using a custom cable kit) to the absolutely silent operation, this is a perfect product. 1000W is probably more than any standard consumer needs for their PC but if you're like me and are regularly pushing your system to the limit with overclocks, it's good to know that it has you covered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The modular cables are quite stiff This PSU delivers. There are enough modular cables to make any build work but they are stiff flat ribbon cables. This makes neat routing harder than it needs to be, but its performance speaks for itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HXi Series keep delivering Having now owned 3 corsair PSU's First was an HX850i (Brilliant and still my Gaming PSU), Second was RM850X (dissapointing as it failed but didn't come from Scan) and now the HX1000i (Rock Solid and running 8 1070's in a Mining Rig). I can say, just from my own experience that I would only consider HXi or AXi Series from now on. Not cheap but then you get what you pay for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't fault it, everything works as expected, and it's very quiet. The most surprising thing about this PSU for me was how quiet it is, most of the time the fan isn't operational. To get the thing under enough load for the temps to rise to the point where the fan actually starts is staggering and even then it's quiet. I'm using Corsair Link to run things in Quiet mode as I have a H115i already. It copes well with extreme load on an overclocked Skylake i7 and Vega 64 setup; regardless of whether I have it in Single or Multi rail mode. The only glitch for me came during setup when I figured I could just daisy chain the Vega's two 8 pin connectors from one of the provided leads. That didn't work out as the PC would power off under load, so I changed to using two cables and powering them off of discrete sockets on the PSU.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Quality Product I don't like skimping on things that are important to me, and my PC is one of those things. The product was easy to install, provided lots of customisability with modular wires, and the USB system-monitor and software is very useful. I thoroughly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Review It's really awesome looks and feels good quality and when powered on it's awesome and quite. I would definitely recommend this power supply because it's well worth the money. As well I'm going to be buy more from Scan. :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a completely silent PC Needed a new PSU after upgrading my graphics card. I chose this because of its semi-fanless design - I like silence. The system it is installed in rarely goes above 250W so I've not actually heard the fan spin at any point during normal use (aside from when pressing the button to test the fan). It's of course not performing at optimum efficiency being so underloaded, but the difference is minor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed Am very impressed with this power supply and its flat cables. Many people have commented against the flat cables but I found them much easier to keep out of the cooling air stream. As to yet the fan hasn't needed to come on so it runs very quiet

Braided Cables

Hi, I just wondered what braided corsair cables are complatible with this, and what's the difference with the gen 2 cables?
Asked by: swaylight
Any cable kit with Type 3 cables will work with this power supply. (Corsair branded is always best) With the exception of the 24 pin ATX cable, Type 4 is also compatible as they are the same pin out but the 24 pin uses a different connector from the Type 3. I recommend shopping for anything you like the look of with Type 3 support. (It will say somewhere on the product.)

CPU Power Cables

Hi, I was wondering if I could fit 2x 8 Pin CPU power cables to this PSU, as the new motherboard I have ordered requires this? Many thanks Luke
