650VA APC BK650Ei Tower UPS with Internet/DSL/ Fax/Modem Protection - Retail Box is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from All good so far... Easy to install and initial testing looks ok. A bit confusing to start with and there is no USB port despite all advertising saying it is USB. Eventually realised it's an odd cable with an RJ45 plugs at one end and USB at the other!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearing perfection I guess with many devices like this a key quality is good performance over a long period of time. I am very happy with the couple of months I've had this. It's compact. It has a sensible number of outlets and an accessible API - so that although I have some fairly obscure equipment connected to it it still reports it's status and automates the power down as the battery is used. the only criticism is the cables / sockets for the modem protection - not being suitable for the UK market. A shame because that would have scored 5 stars...

Questions & Answers

Erm.. sockets?

It looks like the wrong end of a kettle lead on the unit. How do you plug your computer and monitor into it when there is no standard plug sockets on it? My last (and only) UPS was a belkin and had normal plug sockets on it. So I am confused...
