Product Overview

Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus Aggregation Switch

The Ubiquiti Enterprise Campus Aggregation Switch (ECS-Aggregation) is a high-performance, enterprise-grade network core switch designed to aggregate and manage traffic across large networks with demanding bandwidth, segmentation, and redundancy requirements. Built for campus networks, data centres, and large-scale enterprise deployments, the ECS-Aggregation combines massive throughput with extensive port density and advanced Layer 2/Layer 3 functionality. With 48 SFP28 ports and 6 QSFP28 uplink ports, it supports high-speed connections upto 25G or 100G, enabling scalable networking infrastructure for offices, campus environments, and service-provider-level setups. The switch’s robust switching capacity, non-blocking throughput, and forwarding capability ensure smooth, low-latency data flow even under heavy multi-device loads. Its rack-mount 1U form-factor, hot-swappable power supplies and fans, and built-in Etherlighting port-status indicators make deployment, maintenance, and management straightforward. ECS-Aggregation is engineered for reliability, flexibility, and future-proof network architecture - suitable for organisations that require a stable, high-capacity foundation for modern, high-bandwidth network demands.

High-Density & High-Speed Port Layout

ECS-Aggregation includes 48 × SFP28 ports (10G / 25G) and 6 × QSFP28 ports (40G / 100G) to support a mix of high-speed uplinks and edge connections. This enables the switch to handle backbone-level data aggregation, server/fibre uplinks and multiple 10G / 25G / 100G device connections simultaneously - providing the scalability needed for enterprise and campus networks.

Massive Throughput & Switching Power

With a switching capacity of 3.6Tbps and non-blocking throughput of 1.8Tbps, ECS-Aggregation can carry immense traffic loads without bottlenecks. Its forwarding rate reaches up to 2.4 billion packets per second (Bpps), ensuring high packet-per-second performance ideal for latency-sensitive applications, large datasets, or flat-network backbones.

Enterprise-Scale VLAN & MAC/Route Capacity

The ECS-Aggregation supports up to 1,000 VLANs for robust network segmentation and multitenancy. Its MAC address table can hold 128,000 entries, while the Layer 3 routing table supports up to 96,000 ARP entries and 288,000 IPv4 routes - giving it the capacity to manage large networks with thousands of endpoints and multiple subnets.

Full Layer 2 and Layer 3 Features for Flexible Networking

As a managed switch, ECS-Aggregation delivers advanced Layer 2 features including LACP port aggregation, Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG) for redundancy and load balancing, STP/RSTP, IGMP snooping and advanced multicast control, MAC- and IP-based ACLs, DHCP snooping and guarding, port isolation, port mirroring, jumbo frames, flow control, LLDP-MED, voice VLAN, loop protection and more.

On the Layer 3 side, it supports DHCP server, DHCP relay, inter-VLAN routing, and static routing among local networks - enabling it to function as both a distribution layer and core router in mid-sized networks.

Built-in Etherlighting and Redundant, Rack-Ready Design

ECS-Aggregation integrates Etherlighting port-status LEDs for real-time visual feedback on link speed, VLAN, and network status - a helpful tool when managing densely populated racks or fibre trunks. The unit comes in a 1U SGCC-steel chassis suitable for 19" racks, supports 482.6 mm rack slides, and includes two hot-swappable AC/DC 550 W power supplies plus five hot-swappable fans, offering redundancy and continuous operation even under hot-swap maintenance.

It’s good to talk, but the way in which we get in touch with each other is changing. When once a letter, or a phone call over a shared line were the only ways to keep in touch with friends and relatives, there is now e-mail, instant messaging and text messages. The humble telephone isn’t sitting idly by, however. Telephony is evolving and it is using the Internet to keep up with the competition.

As a growing number of homes contain more than one computer, their users must find ways to network them. The primary purpose for creating a home network tends to be to provide Internet access to all computers within the house. There are other good reasons, however. These include enabling LAN gaming, data backups from one machine to another and the sharing of music within the home.
