Rated 1 out of 5 by RodgerRamrod One DOA. Replacement Only Works As 2TB HDD. BAD Buy.
Replacement HDD would only initialise as a 2TB, with windows 10 unable to create a volume or format the latter 2TB.
Tried both GPT/MBT settings and all available free Seagate software, but to no avail.
Been looking for reviews online and this series of drives are repeatedly failing.
Won't buy another Seagate HDD until they get their act together.

I'm afraid one of the drives packed up after a few weeks, what more can I add!

Running this drive in parallel with WD Black 4TB drive, and so far unable to tell the difference between them.

You will need to use the free seagate software download to recognise and format this disk drive, unless you have alternative HDD software to hand, as MS Windows did not seem to recognise a disk of this capacity. I installed all of this and configured the disk on a PC running MS vista so assume you will have no problems doing the same under windows 7 or 8.
If you are going to use the drive as a data only drive you can configure to be a single 4TB disk. If you want to have as a boot drive you must configure as 2+2TB drives.
