4TB Seagate BarraCuda ST4000DM004, 3.5" HDD, SATA III - 6Gb/s, 5400rpm, 256MB Cache, OEM is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job Just needed extra space and cost/space ratio it was the best option. The drive is quiet, fast and does the job supporting an SSD as my games/data drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant If you're wanting to have your entire Steam Library downloaded onto a hard drive, this is the hard drive.
Date published: 2020-07-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good drive for standard everyday storage They still a bit pricey compared to the size of drives you can get (6TB->12TB), youd think 4TB would be at the 1TB price by now.
Date published: 2020-07-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installed and functioned without any problems I bought two of these 4TB drives and added them to my Windows 10 "Storage Space" as a mirrored pair, to replace a failed drive. One of a pair of 1TB drives failed, so I changed both and increased the space, too. Everything works well - and they are quieter than those that I replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Value I bought this drive to store my games library on and it works very well. it does what it's supposed to do and it's relatively fast too it's as fast as my WD Black 1Tb drive, so for my usage it's works very well. It's well recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used as backup media Now have 4, replacing 2TB drives in my Backup, Copy of old data problem free.
Date published: 2020-02-21
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Both arrived defective It is hard to provide a detailed review of the drives because although externally they appeared intact, both drives were delivered with physical defects and made a loud clanking sound and could not be recognised by any device. It is not possible to know whether this was due to the poor packaging they arrived in or a manufacturers defect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good performance & value I bought a pair of these to replace old/full drives in a RAID1 mirror. I'm quite impressed with the performance, they're noticeably quicker at both read and write than the two they replaced. The drives were very well packaged by Scan for delivery - something I'm quite paranoid about with shock-sensitive conventional hard drives. Good performance, good value, well packaged. Recommended.

Screws

Should this come with the mounting screws?
Asked by: TheMaybe
No screws supplied with the drive. Given that the screws depend on how you mount the drive in the PC it probably makes sense. For example my PC has drive trays and the drives sit on rubber feet, so the screws are slightly longer to accommodate that.

Does it have NCQ?

The spec says no but the page header indicate yes.
Asked by: Edhel
Yes as far as I'm aware it does, and per Seagate spec sheet it does too.
