Gigabyte WindForce Logo

GIGABYTE understands that the fans are crucial to any graphics card, so only the fans with the most efficiency are selected for WINDFORCE™. WINDFORCE™ 3 cooling system is equipped with high performance pure cooper heat-pipes which direct touch the GPU can strengthen the speed of heat dissipation. The air flow is effectively enhanced by the unique blade fan design, this not only increases the cooling capacity but also reduces the air turbulence resulting in lower noise levels.

Gigabyte Flex Display Technology

Flex Display Technology
The Gigabyte GTX 970 WindForce OC graphics card supports multi-display but also takes advantage of the Flex Display Technology with auto output detection and dual DVI support, in addition to the 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI. This patent-pending technology provides gamers with much more flexible output connectivity options compared to those of the reference card. For gamers looking for a multi-display gaming rig using 2 DVI monitors, or enthusiasts going all in for a full 4K surround view using multiple DisplayPort monitors.

Ultra Durable VGA

Ultra Durable VGA™
Lower GPU Temperature
Provides dramatic cooling effect which lowers both GPU and memory temperatures by doubling the copper inner layer of the PCB.

Better Overclocking Capability
Reduces voltage ripples in normal and transient state, thus effectively lowers noises and ensures higher overclocking capability.

Decrease Power Switching Loss
Allows more bandwidth for electron passage and reduces circuit impedance. The less circuit impedance, the more stable flow of current and can effectively improve power efficiency.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent graphics card Even though this graphics card got released in late 2014, it still lets me play all the current games (early 2016) in maximum settings with 50+ fps. I'm very happy with this purchase. 03 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by It is just good. I really like this card. The design looks good, i like that Windforce logo on it. It`s quite qiuet aswell. The cooling is really good, it barely goes further up than 48 degree not to mention it`s really stron. I`m totally satisfied with this card, I can only recommend. 27 March 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Gaming GPU I have two of these in SLI and I am very happy with the performance of the cards. This edition is easily overclocked and the amount of noise it makes when its fans are at 100% is nothing compared to other manufacturers' versions of this GPU. This GPU will play a lot of games at 1080p with the highest settings and if you add a second one in SLI you will have no problem running most games at 60fps. At least at 1080p. It also has a decent amount of VRAM. This seems to have become more important recently as some newly released games are going 3GB and above for VRAM requirements when played with the highest settings. A decent GPU at a good price if you do not have the money to spend on a GTX 980 TI or another ultra end GPU. 04 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent overclocker at a great price. I bought this card as it had three Display ports for using with Nvidia surround and in just a short time found that it easily overclocks to just over 1400mhz boost clock with no extra voltage while maintaining 57c. The Windforce fans are also extremely quiet. Its a great value card that has little trouble at 1080p with ultra settings in most games. 27 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Got 2 in sli and it's awsome I got 2 of these runing a 144hz monitor and it can take whatever i through at it. 17 June 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superior performance! Bought two for SLi... Faster than Titan X in most games. Excellent!! 11 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stunning card for the money... I got this card to replace an AMD6990 HD, for an aging I7 920 (O/C to 3.6) which I got from SCAN several years ago. I'm shocked by the improvement it has given me on this system. On average my frame rate have gone up around 50%. 3d mark2011 went up from P8950(6990) to P12580(gtx970) and P13139 with an overclock using the included software. Runs really quite and cool. 32 deg. idle and about 62 deg. full stress. Would I recommend it, Oh yes. Positives. fast, cool, quite, low power consumption, DX12 ready, overclocks well, bargain price, good software inc. Negatives. Not many really, have to be picky. No backing plate, and the plastic windforce cover looks a bit cheap. That's it really. 17 April 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exellent Some people say that the stock coolers are better because they blow the hot air outside the case. While that may be true, this Windforce card when mounted inside a decently ventilated case and running BOINC 24/7 on the GPU does not even need the fan speed to go above 60% to keep the temperature down to +65°C. I wish all my graphics cards ran this cool and quite. And of course, it plays games as well as any GTX970 should. 13 March 2015

I doubt it. I'm going to assume you wanted to install the h100i in the front. A h100i radiator with fans on one side is about 55mm thick. This card about 315mm long. You need to get a take measure and measure the inside of the case and see if there is 370mm inside. If you don't have one you, find someone on a forum with one and ask them nicely to do it for you.

No this gpu needs 312 clearance and that case has 290, you can get a phantom 530 for that price and it fits in there although it is a huge case

This would be fine to work with that CPU as long as you have a spare PCIe slot and 1 x 6-pin PCIe 1 x 8-pin PCIe from the power supply to connect to the card in order to power it up.
