Product Overview An ideal choice for value-conscious system builders and upgraders
CX Series power supply units are an excellent choice for basic system builds and desktop PC computer upgrades. CX Series PSUs are available in a variety of power configurations, and include features that are normally found only on premium power supplies.

Reliable and compatible
CX Series is built and tested to strict standards for trouble-free installation and smooth operation.

Low noise
80 PLUS Bronze certified efficiency and clever fan design allow for little or no detectable fan noise during regular operation.

Good looks
The matte black finish, black-sleeved cables and black connectors help give your system a restrained, high-tech look.

Corsair engineering and quality control
Every Corsair power supply is designed by our California engineering team and built to our exact specifications. The same care that goes into the design and testing of our renowned high-power enthusiast power supplies also goes into the CX Series, because you need confidence and reliability regardless of your build budget.

Ample connectors and long cables
Long cables make CX Series suitable for installation even in full-height tower cases, and the generous cable count allows you to power multiple components and storage devices.

Large-diameter, thermally controlled fan
Once you’ve installed a PSU, you shouldn’t have to think about it. Employing a thermally controlled fan makes the CX Series virtually silent at idle, and the large diameter reduces noise even when you’re pushing your system hard.

Black goes with everything
You’re building a PC, not a battleship, and appearance counts. The matte black finish and all-black sleeved cables and connectors help give your system a high-tech, restrained look. Features • Ultra-quiet 120mm fan delivers excellent airflow at an exceptionally low noise level by varying fan speed in response to temperature.
• 80 PLUS Bronze certified.
• 0.99 Active Power Factor Correction provides clean and reliable power.
• Complies with ErP Lot 6 European Union standard for low standby power consumption.
• Universal AC input from 90~264V — No more hassle of flipping that tiny red switch to select the voltage input!
• Extra long fully-sleeved cables support full tower chassis.
• Dedicated single +12V rail offers maximum compatibility with the latest components.
• Over-voltage and over-power protection, under-voltage protection, and short circuit protection provide maximum safety to your critical system components.
• Supports the latest ATX12V v2.3 standard and is backward compatible with ATX12V 2.2 and ATX12V 2.01 systems.
• Safety Approvals: UL, CUL, CE, CB, FCC Class B, TÜV, CCC, C-tick.
• MTBF: 100,000 Hours.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great delivery and product Great product, with a warranty too which gives you peace of mind. Working well in my newly assembled computer, with an i3 processor. Delivery was brilliant, very prompt and very well packaged to make sure the product wasn't damaged. 20 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what we are looking for. Just the right Power Supply for our motion controller. 20 April 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice PSU This PSU has a huge fan which accounts for its quiet operation. The built up PC with this PSU has been much quieter than my previous machine. In general, very pleased, although I now regret not getting the 600W model for graphics card upgrade path... 13 March 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value. Cheap, very quiet when running .. excellent value for your money. 03 December 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Helped breathe life back into an ageing PC Bought one of these for a friend recently after her 12yr old 200W PSU died. Works really well, and is useful because it has a 20+4 ATX power connector. As her PC motherboard only required the 20-pin connector, it was a simple case of unclipping the extra 2x2 set of pins. Same goes with the CPU power, which comprises of two 2x2 (i.e. two 4-pin) pin connectors, as only one set of 2x2's was required for the CPU. My only criticism of this power supply would be that I feel the CD/hard disk power cables (the non-SATA types) are a bit short - so much that it was impractical to be able to connect the floppy drive with power. OK, so an extension lead would help, but I was surprised I'd have this issue with a small-ish tower case. 18 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fair price, good product Suffice to say, good quality. This PSU seems reasonable for the 'average' user. A 500 watt seems overkill, unless you have a graphics card using 200/250watt on its own..otherwise, this is ideal. Indeed, for those with just a GPU using 100 watts or less.. this is going to save money in the long run...with good efficiency, and 15% or so less than a 500 watt. - Good cabling, and they are plenty long enough for full size tower case. 10 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by As good as they say, but one thing to note. All the intel I found on this unit was pretty much in line with what was in the box: a good unit, well made (by my reckoning). Nice touch with the sheathing over the cabling. The only thing is that the floppy drive and the two optical drives in my case are quite far apart and the cable that serves them all did not have enough length to reach them all. 30 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb quality v's value For £35 you get a brand name power supply with a smart look and braided cables. I don't think you can go wrong, I've read some nay sayers on the internet saying that the CX series power supplies from Corsair are not up to the standard they once were. I have however found no evidence to support this and my experience with this unit has been nothing but positive. 30 December 2013
