Rated 5 out of 5 by from All drives detected Used some spare 1tb black edition 1tb drives to populate this enclosure. No disconnection issues and detected in windows fine so controller is good. Read write speeds look pretty good using usb 3.0. Up to 100 mb/s

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well but was expecting better build quality Unit functions well but the door is misaligned slightly and has trouble opening and closing. Overall pretty good for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No problems Set this up with an intel i3 NUC as a storage server. The fan is quiet and in a silent room you can hardly hear it running. Transfer speeds are good ( although I haven't benchmarked it ). I have 2 x 2Gb WD RED and 2 x 1GB Seagate drives in it configured as 2 storage spaces in Windows. A great little unit.

Questions & Answers

What is the max capacity per HDD slot and overall ?

Description says 6TB (does not specifiy per slot or for the whole Unit) - Specification says up to 4TB per HDD (so 16TB in total for the whole unit) - ambiguous / not precise info
Asked by: ishmo65
Most I've had was 3tb per bay, that's 12tb so I would say 6tb is per bay

I have three old drives of various capacities from old pcs

I want to put them all in one enclosure so that I can access them if needed, I bought a netgear NAS unit and found that it needed up to 4 empty drives of matched capacity to start with, where I dont want to get rid of the data that is currently on the drives, so will this allow me to map to 3 seperate drives through one USB connection ?
Asked by: smartibs
Hello, Yes this will be allow you to map 3 drives. Thanks,
