Product Overview The ShareCenter Quattro (DNS-345) is a 4-Bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) device with comprehensive backup and media features that make it ideal for protecting valuable data, storing work files, and streaming media content. It enables you to share any type of document, such as work files, photos, music and videos on a network or over the Internet.

The DLNA-certified Media Server will stream the media content on your ShareCenter Quattro to any compatible media player - such as the PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and the Boxee Box by D-Link- over your local network. The ShareCenter Quattro allows for multiple simultaneous streams, so you can watch a movie on your TV, while someone else listens to music streamed onto their computer.

The ShareCenter Quattro can be tailored to your needs with powerful add-ons that enhance functionality and allow you to do more. Squeeze Center and Audio Streamer allow you to stream music on your home network. With AjaXplorer you can share files over the Internet on any web browser. PhotoCenter will create professional photo galleries and slideshows, and with the Blog add-on, you can create your own blog and always keep it updated.

Users of Apple computers can backup their valuable files and computer settings directly onto the ShareCenter Quattro via Apple's Time Machine, or perform a full system recovery in case a computer fails.

The ShareCenter Quattro comes with two Gigabit ports for high availability and the fastest connectivity to your network. Files are protected by the built-in RAID technologies (RAID 1, 5, RAID 5+ Hot Spare, RAID 10), to ensure that you never lose your valuable data.

Confidentiality and integrity of files is enforced by giving rights to specific users or groups and assigning them to folders with read/write permissions. This function is ideal for the home, where children's access can be restricted to age-appropriate materials, and ensuring that nobody can delete important files by accident.

The ShareCenter Quattro comes with Farstone Total Recovery Pro, an all-in-one backup and recovery software giving you complete system backups. D-Link's Storage Utility will allow you to easily locate the NAS anywhere on your network. Additionally, the Yahoo! Widget will install on your desktop and give you information about your ShareCenter Quattro at a glance.

The ShareCenter Quattro is part of D-Link Green, D-Link's program for providing eco-friendly alternatives without compromising on performance: if the Hard Drives are not used in a configurable period of time, or data is not being transmitted, the ShareCenter Quattro will go into stand-by mode to save power. Also, the silent fan will adapt its speed depending on the Hard Drives' temperature.
