High Speed Audio/Video Transmission

The MDP2DPMM3M 3m Mini DisplayPort™ to DisplayPort Adapter Cable, features a Mini DP male connector on one end, and a DP male connector on the other, allowing you to connect any Mini DisplayPort-equipped laptop (including the Mac® family of products) to an HDTV, monitor or projector that uses a standard DisplayPort connection.

The mDP to DP cable supports high resolutions of up to 4k x 2k (3840 x 2160) @ 60Hz with a maximum HBR2 bandwidth of 21.6 Gbps. The cable also supports Multi-Stream (MST) for daisy chaining multiple monitors and provides optional audio support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bought this for the Vive and it is perfect, I would actually say the performance was a lot better than the HDMI provided (I kept getting flickering through the HDMI). Cheap enough that it would be worth buying a couple for future equipment or for spares.

They are an absolute essential for many users with certain models of Nvidia's GTX 970 GPU. They are far from flimsy and have already taken a bit of a beating but the functionality remains.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what is needed. No added latency / loss of quality due to length I read here and there that certain cables over 1.5m start to loose quality and gain latency. I can safety say this is not the case. I'm just going to clarify some things here: I bought this cable for two monitors with different purposes. 1. Running a 4k display @ 60hz 2. Running a 1080p display @ 144hz I can confirm it does both of these things just fine.

Real 100% 4k Support?

Can anyone confirm if this cable @3m long will properly drive a 4k display at 60Hz? As I have had the same issues with my screen flickering on and off with noise on the image as others have mentioned with other DP cables longer than 2m long..
