Invest more money and get bettr quality cable. This one even though it supposed to be dp 1.2 rated won't support more than 80Hz and sometimes won't work at all. Maybe mine was faulty idk just can't be arsed to go through RMA process again so yeah, save yourself some money and time and get good quality cable instead.

So you guys need to be aware of this......
If you have a Corsair 750D with a Evga 980ti then you may want to look for another DP Cable. Not sure which of the 2 to blame (Corsair or EVGA) but this cable cannot be plugged in using the above combination of hardware. I had to shave down the end of the plastic in order to get the DP cable to plugin. Its hard to explain but I promise you this "this cable will not plugin with the above combination of hardware unless to modify it" Be warned. Other than that the cable works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rich123 As useful as damp string for 4K 60Hz
As I'm now finding, getting a 3m DP cable to work at 4K60Hz is very difficult. This just doesnt work with only 30Hz support (Ie, it'll handle 7Gbps but not the 14Gbps for 60Hz). Cable quality is no better than cheap ebay equivalent.

My high end monitor kept flicking on and off with this cable, and worked fine with the shorter cable that came with the monitor

Rated 5 out of 5 by Studiotime Strong solid cable
I bought this cable for a PC of ours that is constantly in use on the road. So the cable will be connected and disconnected on a daily basis.
So far so good, nothing broken.
It's a strong cable.

by peteoshea Doesn't work very well with 4k resolutions
This cable doesn't work at [email protected], and the monitor doesn't always get recognised at [email protected] Have tried two of these cables and got the same problem with both. Have since tried the 2m StarTech cable and that works fine. The cable seems well enough made must just be a problem with the throughput of data required over this length of cable?
