The DISPL2M 2m DisplayPort™ 1.2 Cable with latches provides a secure, connection between your DisplayPort-equipped devices and is capable of providing higher performance than either HDMI® or dual link DVI.


Multi-Stream Technology

The DP cable supports high resolutions of up to 4k x 2k (4096 x 2160) @ 60Hz with a maximum HBR2 bandwidth of 21.6 Gbps. The cable also supports Multi-Stream (MST) for daisy chaining multiple monitors and provides optional audio support.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Problems with 4k @ 60Hz I just ordered a new 4k monitor (and graphics card to go with it). I read a couple of reviews of the monitor which stated that the included DP cable was substandard: I therefore ordered this Startech cable as a supposedly better option. When I connected everything up, however, I could only get a 4k resolution while running at 30Hz (fps). When I tried the full 60Hz, the screen would either go completely blank, or flicker intermittently. Obviously with 3 new items (monitor, graphics card and cable) I was left in a bit of a quandry as to where the issue lay. I initially thought it was the monitor's fault: however the thought occurred to me to just try to monitor's included DP cable, which at that stage was still in its packaging. Problem solved instantly. Now getting beautiful 4K @ 60Hz with no flicker. The problem, therefore, was in this Startech cable. I don't know if I just got a faulty cable (is there such a thing?) or if they would all suffer from the same issue. However if my Startech cable is representative of them all, and you want to run 4k @ 60Hz, I would be wary of this one. If you don't need such bandwidth it will be okay. I ran 1920x1200 @ 60Hz without a problem.. and 4k @ 30Hz.

Does this cable support 144hz at 1440p?
