120mm UNI FAN SL FLEX Standard Blade ARGB PWM Standalone Fan from Lian Li

Lian Li UNI FAN SL FLEX

Pixel Perfect Ecosystem The UNI FAN SL FLEX Series expands the L-Wireless ecosystem with even greater freedom to build and customise your system your way. Retaining the premium aluminium finish, interlocking design and diffused ARGB strips, the FLEX variant introduces an optional 5V ARGB motherboard connector for third party software support, meaning you can stick to your preferred suite without relying on L-Connect 3 in a mixed-brand setup. It also swaps out the dense metal sides for an infinity mirror, giving your build an elite look from all angles. United via the USB L-Wireless controller, a single chain of fans only needs one connection for independent, wireless control within L-Connect 3, no power hub needed.

Connected Cooling

Black and White fan Stacked Over Each Other

Interlocking DesignUNI FANs feature a signature interlocking design that allows multiple fans to snap together into clusters. Simply slide each fan together, attach the receiver, and connect your PWM cables as normal. Triple Packs also include a SATA-to-PWM breakout cable to provide supplementary power for larger fan groups.

Formidable FDB ConstructionDespite the looks, the UNI FAN SL FLEX is capable of moving serious amounts of air through its durable PBT blades. Choose between forward and reverse orientations to make sure your build is visible in its full glory.

L-Wireless Ecosystem

STRIMER Wireless 24 Pin ATX ARGB Cable

Unconventional, but EasyOnce the receiver is attached, the box contents let you choose between a FLEX 5V ARGB cable for motherboard lighting control or software control via the L-Wireless Controller (Only sold in Triple Packs) - a handy USB dongle where all compatible devices can be managed.

• The L-Wireless Controller is an optional USB module that wirelessly detects and links compatible Lian Li devices. Rather than relying on multiple RGB hubs and controllers, it brings supported devices together so they're easily addressable in L-Connect 3.

• By default, it syncs lighting across components and allows you to switch between preset themes.

• It does not provide power to components.

• Lower CPU Demand - By squeezing multiple device connections into a single control path, L-Connect 3 handles fewer USB endpoints, reducing background clutter and system load.

• Cleaner Cabling - Multiple controllers are replaced with a single receiver, cutting down on internal hubs, headers, and wiring runs.

• Easier Management- Devices are detected and neatly grouped under one system, making lighting profiles, effects, and LCD content easier to manage across multiple components.

ARGB Effect Overlay L-Wireless Controller communicating with Lian Li Strimer setup

Bridging The EcosystemThe L-Wireless controller can create up to 10 groups, with each one occupying its own channel for stable control. Currently, it's fully compatible with the Hydroshift II LCD, Strimer Wireless and UNI FAN Wireless Series, allowing you to use additional channels for other devices, ensuring a seamless and scalable setup for your PC.

Personalise it Your Way

Full Colour ControlThe UNI FAN SL FLEX features two distinct lighting zones per fan, allowing for intricate, layered lighting effects across your build. Each zone can be individually customised in L-Connect 3, letting you create dynamic gradients, alternating colour patterns, or uniform aesthetics.

ARGB Customisation in L-Connect 3

Full Customisation in One PlaceL-Connect 3 delivers a clean, intuitive interface designed for full control of your UNI FAN setup. The dashboard is split into straightforward sections—fan speed, lighting, grouping—so you can jump into exactly what you need without any digging. Fans are displayed in chains and can be renamed, sorted, and grouped visually, making large or mixed setups easy to manage at a glance.

L-Wireless Customisation in L-Connect 3

Ultra IntelligentL-Wireless Sync within L-Connect 3 enables independent identification and management of each fan cluster. Fans connected to the same receiver are assigned to a single channel, which can be grouped, named, or colour-synced for quick customisation. This feature is great when coordinating multiple fan banks—top, front, bottom—to work in unison.

Fan Curve Setup in L-Connect 3

Set Fan CurvesSetting up fan profiles is streamlined; you can allow the software to adjust automatically based on system temperatures or manually define your own RPM curves using a drag-and-drop tool. Once fans are grouped, you can synchronize or adjust them individually, with real-time feedback. The software also accommodates mixed orientations—such as standard and reverse blade fans—displaying them clearly.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.
