We are looking for a BI / Data engineer to join our in-house teams at Scan HQ in Bolton, Lancashire. Working closely with our development team. Data is the lifeblood of what we do at Scan, and plays a key role in daily decision making. You will
be responsible for improving existing systems and data pipelines, connecting new systems and providing real time data to team mates to enable them to make the best possible decisions for our customers.
We have a flexible working environment where your time maybe fully-remote, fully in office or a mix of the two, however you will be required to travel to our Bolton HQ even when fully-remote, so we ask for candidates that are close
enough and able to travel when needed.
We would like you to have a 2:1 or above in computer science or a related subject but would still like to hear from you if you are eager to learn and don’t quite meet the criteria.
Certification
- Degree: 2:1 or above in Computer Science or related subject or relevant work experience
Required Skills
- Working with Qlik technologies e.g. Qlikview, Qliksense
- SQL with Microsoft SQL Server
- SSIS
- Produce high quality code
- Experience optimising data pipelines
Desirable Skills
- Excel / Power BI
- Jupyter Notebooks, scikit learn, pandas
- C#, .NET Core
- Apache Kafka
- Git, DevOps, CI/DI pipelines
