Chassis Airflow
Chassis Airflow
Date Issued: 20th Oct 2008

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall Good Cooling Case This case have enough fans to cool your system, air flow is excellent with the cost. Overall the case is good, however it have few draw back, 1) The case metal is abit soft, you can easily bend the mental if not careful. 2) The CD/DVD cover is very looses, easy to push in. 3) The Fan Controller/Fan Button, the board is very cheap, it burn that part of the board after connect it to a 4 pin fans connector. Which result of burned button on the fans controller. (only plug in to set the bios for 5 min, and it already burn though the plastic on the button) So best is avoid using the fan controller connector, this seem to solve the problem. 20 November 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, but you may need to play around with the fans So I bought this case back in February 2014, while the case is absolutely amazing, looks nice, feels nice and generally keeps everything nice and snug, there are a few bad points. Mainly: The case's fan configuration is quite weird if you have a large GPU, consider switching one around so the head only expels from the top therefore you have really nice airflow blowing onto your CPU slot. The dust filter on the bottom is too big for its slot, therefore you're going to need to clean it more often than usual. 04 November 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent case for the price Good case with some useful functions e.g. dust filters and USB 3.0 front panel. Does lack additional fan slots however. Although there is room for modding. 16 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great case for the price i have to say i like this case a lot it it has some good thing going for it like the window is rather nice and the guide you get inside it for you video card is good. the fans that come with it are ok but i not the best in the world one of the fans that came with mine did not work nore did the fan controler but thats not a big deal. i would also get some ap fans for the front thats what i did it makes a difrence all in all i would recomend this case. some pepole have said there is not a lot of cable mangemnt room i did not realy notice as i have a modular power pack 10 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great case for a very good price I bought this case for a rather retro socket A build I just couldn't get rid of and I was very impressed at the quality and what was offered in with the price. Whilst there's one thing I'm not sure why is in the case (the GPU mounting bar that's in the middle of the case (which can be taken out) it's a rather nice easy case to install a PC into. There's a few places to hide the cables and keep it as tidy as possible (I didn't have a modular PSU so it's a little bit messy in there) the air flow for the case is very good. There was 4 fans installed into the case. One at the front where the hard drives are. Two at the top (which are nicely installed out of the way and covered by a plastic cover) there is also a nice feature that you could install another fan right in front of the GPU which would allow a bit more air to get to all these new high powered GPU's. There is also a place for an SSD to be installed in as well over the top of the 3.5" drive bays which I thought was a neat idea. For the price the case was nice and fairly sturdy and I think would make a good case for any system. The installed fans are quiet and produce a fairly decent air flow which is also a nice thing for any case and which surprised me when I had bought a few other cases that didn't include as many fans even when they where up to twice the price as this case. Overall I'm pleased with it and with it's small window cut out it's a little added bonus. At the price point there's not much to moan about with it at all. 10 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by most good some bad in general the case is great, nice space lots of fans a nice interface panel but they is one major draw back they is hardly any room for cable management you have to get really creative to make it work but other than that its a cool case. 23 March 2014

Answer:
There is only 1 official fan slot and its on the back. Although with some zip ties you can stick in a few more but Zalman missed a trick here because there is more than enough room to mod this case to fit in more fans.

Answer:
I believe that you get two in the top, one at the rear and I think two at the front which makes 5 fans. Definitely a worthy case for the cash :)

Answer:
Not having a H100 I can't comment about it fitting, but it does come with two 120mm fans in the top of the case but that said, if you have a motherboard with a tall ish heatsink at the top of the motherboard, I would doubt it would fit in without some modifications. I think it might be just that touch too small to fit in the top of the case. Please do let us know whether or not it fits in the top.
