Reviews
Thermaltake View 31 Tempered Glass RGB Mid Tower Case, Fully Modular Concept, Riser GPU Support bracket, 3x RGB Fans is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from All aboard the tempered glass and RGB bandwagon Having previously owned a view 27 I had some reservations about the view 31 and it's cooling ability. Which turned out to be totally unfounded. I installed my X99 strix 1080Ti build in there without any issue. apart from one that would only affect owners of 1080TI or similar GPU's with 2 1/2 slot air coolers. The thicker GPU cooler gives only a few millimetres of clearance from the glass panel, which made my 1080Ti run at 82c overclocked(2125MHz) and under full load. Instead of the usual 73c with it in the normal horizontal position. I fitted the coolermaster vertical GPU mount to give the 1080Ti a bit more breathing room. Which brought it's temp back to the usual 73c. I've since replaced it with a water cooled Strix 1070 and the 1080Ti now resides in my VR sim racing rig. Which is nice. There's plenty of space inside for a twin water loop or a Hugh Mungus air cooler. I have 8 140mm Thermaltake riing fans in there. They are the original design with the 3 button controller box and the old Thermaltake logo. Apart form the 3 fans in the front which come with the case, although one is fitted as an exhaust out of the box and technically the case doesn't support 3 140mm fans in the front. Unless you stick the top one in place with double sided number plate tape. The other 5 are over a year old and are still working perfectly. The space behind the the motherboard tray is more than adequate for even the laziest cable management. You can also use the 3 3.5" drive caddies in the drive bay to hide the shame of your spinning rust on the rear of the motherboard tray, along with the tossed spaghetti cable management....I would imagine. Apart from the usual associated power and data cable, there are also 3 of the RGB controller boxes for the fans. A 3.5" drive and 2 2.5" SSD's with plenty of space for more randomly placed gadgetry. I've been trying to come up with some negatives to the case and I'm struggling. apart from native support for 3 140mm fans in the front and top and a PSU shroud I've got nothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall this is a great case If your water cooling then you can't go wrong with this case. It has space galore and looks gorgeous. My one and only problem with this case is that they use some really cheap plastic instead of glass on the front of the case and it stcratches the second you wipe it with anything. If they had of used tempered glass instead then this case would be perfect.

Questions & Answers

are the fans connected to the case or do i have to connect them to my motherboard

idk much about this stuff
Asked by: Smoothlyish
Hello, The fans will connect to a controller which will then connect to your motherboard (or direct to your motherboard if you wish). They will need to connect to the motherboard in order to be able to alter the colour and speed. Regards,
