Product Overview

Sugo-Lite

Introduced in 2009, the Sugo SG05 was a revelation for a form factor originally destined for low powered computing. Designed for use with Mini-DTX and Mini-ITX motherboards, the SG05 was capable of swallowing many standard components while keeping everything cooled. It was the first Mini-ITX case in its size class equipped with 120mm fan and capable of accommodating 10 inch long graphics card. This breakthrough design allowed anyone to build a fast and affordable PC in a case smaller than a shoebox. With SFX power supplies becoming more popular thanks to the success of SG05 and subsequent case designs, SilverStone has decided to release a version of SG05 called, “SG05-Lite” that comes without an SFX power supply included. This bare chassis model will enable more affordable price and give users greater flexibility in choosing components.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best I could find in its class for a resonable price Using this as the case for my router - it does the job well. I've had a lot of trouble finding a mITX case which can take a PCIe card which isn't massive. Really wanted a half-height slot, but even so, this was the only decent small option for under £80 so I went with it. Plenty of space for my multi-port NIC, a nano PSU and an SSD in there. Decent build quality, and easy to fit everything together. Can't comment on the cooling solution - I haven't connected the case fan up - the router is a passively-cooled job, and even without a case fan the core temps hang around 30 degrees under full load. Biggest gripe is the HDD activity LED - it's bright blue, and wayyy brighter than it needs to be - it's like a distress flare in the corner of my living room.

Using this case for Mini PC - very desktop friendly size and the internals are reasonably made - no really sharp metal edges in mine at least making installation easy - and whilst its small its roomy. The large front fan (12 inch) is silent but keeps air moving well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ITX desktop Built a new desktop for office based use its slightly larger than previous itx cubes I have used in the past. Gigabyte H87N-wifi, 8 gig ram, i3-4130, 120gig Samsung ssd and 3 TB hard drive for storage. Front case fan is very quite lots of space for the two hard drives, did not bother with the slim diskdive as loaded all software via usb and internet. Yes there is good room for a GPU card but I did not need one for this PC
