Bought this as a replacement for an aging Radeon R9 285 so I could squeeze a little more life out of my ancient i7 965 Bloomfield PC - what an improvement! Recent games fly in 1080p @ 60fps with most settings at max even on an 11 year old PC - very happy with this purchase. Oh, and it runs flawlessly under Windows 8.1 for those like myself that haven't switched to 10.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice! MSI have delivered a nice package. Tried and tested components with reassuring build quality seems to be the order of the day. For this segment of the market it's really quite nice. Some things to consider. High boost clock compared to others cards at this price. Fan baseline speed is 47% which is audible in quiet rooms and totally unnecessary when the card is idling at 32 degrees. Seems to run at 65-75 degrees under full load. Cooler performance maybe? That said; if you are aiming for 1080 Ultra @ 60 fps you'll be well under full load. Fixed Power Limit is stingy Nvidia policy. Doesn't seem to be any straightforward way around this 'feature'. Perhaps consider the 130W cards instead, alternatively, Navi is close. It might be worth waiting for the comparisons if you don't need a card right now. ------------ As always, perfect service from Scan and DPD! :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good upgrade if you skipped the GTX 10XX series I upgraded to the 1660ti from my old 970, as I didn't bother upgrading to one of the 10XX cards, and it's great. As the RTX 20XX cards only really come into their own on larger resolutions and through ray tracing, the 1660ti offered a much better solution for my personal needs, as I play at 1080p and haven't got much interest in the latest graphical effects.

If it's an ATX motherboard (this one, right? https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/970-GAMING/Specification) I can't see any reason it wouldn't - it's actually quite compact.
