Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotrod Does what it says on the box
I spent some time looking for a media player. This is one of the few that actually does what it says on the box, it has a great gui and is well supported both by the supplier and forums. Like all good media players expect to spend some time customizing your data. It's well worth the investment if you have a good HD display.
Remember that you will need a wired network to reliably stream HD/3D content and also a capable AVR / Display for the output.
It won't do 4K, but this area is still a little immature at the moment. Just replace with the next generation model when available.
The price / value is good too, compared to current ( Jan 16 ) alternatives

Rated 4 out of 5 by starman262189 Good picture please read health warning:-
Purchased this to replace a WD media streamer that was becoming unreliable, hence comparison. Good/better picture. Better user interface, Sound output a little quieter/ flat sound stage through HDMI-even with output level adjusted to max.
everything you need in the box,
Health Warning #1:- I assumed this came with WiFi connectivity (doesn't everything!!!) NO WiFI-. lucky for me I was able to use an existing WiFi unit that I had operating TV etc, but of you are expecting to just plug this in to TV and stream from network storage or from internet- you will need a wired connection.
Health Warning #2:- The sound output level is quite low. I am feeding this output I to a 5.1 surround system. The levels are low and the dynamic range appears a little flat. If you have no reference point, you probably won't notice, but worth mentioning here as it means audio levels vary markedly between sources.
Would recommend product, but depending on your application , you may find other products better suited.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RichTBiscuit Finally an Apple TV beater
I have an extensive movie and tv show collection and have historically always used Apple TV. Thanks to iTunes the Apples have become increasingly more fragile and temperamental to such a degree that I purchased a Mede8er 3d.
Fabulous! Finds its own artwork and writeup for movies in seconds.
I did need to convert a few M4v and MP4 files that wouldn't play but most did. The preferred file type is the MKV and the quality is exceptional, better than Apple.
I wouldn't think twice about buying another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SlinkNET Mede8er - just fantastic
I wanted a high quality product that would work with my 3D projector. I already have a WD live box and NowTv, but the Mede8er device just blows these out of the water, the build quality, picture quality, features are just fantastic. Simple touches like the backlit remote goes to show the thought put into the design of this product. I'm glad I paid a little extra and got this, other media players are a disappointment compared to this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jas98 plays everything!!!!
This is the cheapest I could find the product. Interms of the actual player, it plays everything you throw at it, it also plays 3D movies without any hustle or lags. 100% recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tom24 Mede8er MED600X3D High Definition 3D Multimedia Player
Got this for Christmas could not be more pleased. It's superb in every way.
Excellent player of movie files both standard and 3D. Also passes through audio for my amp to decode into surround sound [ no lip sync issues ].
Doe's exactly what it says on the tin.
If your thinking of buying, then do so, you will not regret it.

So you should know what you are getting. It has some amazing points and parts where it really doesn't try
This is for streaming massive files over your home network. Like 40GB 3D rips. It excels at it. Its stunning. I got it as a companion for my 3D tv and think I could not have chosen better. It has played chunky 1080p or 3D file I have thrown at it. The audio and video output are awesome. You can engage night mode to level the sound, for films with lots of whispering AND explosions, it prevents you from having to ramp the sound up and down every scene in reaction to the changing sound levels
The film wall (jukebox) is fantastic. I hadn't expected the device to have anything nearly as nice. Much better than a file browser which is what I mainly expected to use
It has a fantastic subtitle function. I cannot really describe how fantastic or amazing it is. So for a start you can just download subtitles when watching. So if you don't have subtitles or they aren't very good you can download and change them, in seconds, while watching the film. That's great when you get the wrong subtitle track, like when you get all or nothing. Like when they don't have subtitles for the 2nd language without enabling all the english as well
3D is fantastic. Plays big files flawlessly, you can scan and skip with no issues or hanging. Its really very impressive. It does 3D menus and info data as well when you are watching something and say output to 3D, this is great, my last player didnt. I had to close one eye at a time to see the menu. 3D Subtitles work really well also. Watched battle royal and it was spectacular
Its not much like the other media players as the gui and funtionallity are not nearly as developed. Forget netflix or even decent browsing. The one app it has it youtube and using the remote to type within it is very painful. You can get a keyboard but a lot of the text input boxes on the device dont allow the alpha numeric keys on the remote, its a virtual keyboard. Again painful (but non of these issues phase me slightly)
More frustrating. I cant get the web gui to work and there is no android app. The remote is superb however but it was nice with my last player that if I lost the remote I can v.quickly open an app to do it. These are the most serious issues IMO
Most frustrating. It comes with an EU plug and no adapter! I was gutted, had to shoot out to argos and pick up an adapter. I had one but was already using it for my router! So make sure you have an adapter
The media scraper is cumbersome and doesn't work too well on tv series. Getting films in to a scrapable state is no problem but with a series you might have to rename every episode. How long is that going to take you to do say the simpsons, friends and frasier? A while!
No IR extender. I thought it had one (the 1000x3d does). So this has forced me to expose the box as opposed to keeping it tucked away but is not a deal breaker. This annoyed me off but it was clearly my mistake :/ Although I would not have gone for the 1000x3d as for the money its not worth that 1 function to me
Some problems playing old stuff. Or possibly AVI files in general IDK. Mostly I am playing high def mp4 or mkv files so dont notice it. But then go to play a 4 yr old dvd rip and its unsupported. It is fairly quick to do a convert to avi and any new files come in mp4 so this is not a problem for me
To roundup this device does NOT have its issues. It is just designed for a specific purpose. If you NEED say netflix or plex or iplayer this is not for you. But it is worth considering pairing this device with something like a roku or WD live but then you would only need it if you want some serious 3D handling
Its a phenomenal device and I highly recommend it but if you want apps or a good easy tv media library viewer/scraper then just get something that supports plex
