Rated 5 out of 5 by Phil74 This CPU is pretty amazing
This CPU is a fantastic processor, very fast and very cheap from Scan (£10-£20 saving at least). Pair this up with a decent Z170 board (I also bought the AsRock Z170 Fatality K4/D3) and they work so very well together. However These CPU's do NOT come with their own Heatsincs and Fans so you will need to provide your own cooling solution (which I already had from my 3570K).
Best gaming chip around at the moment for price vs performance and will take a decent overclock ,out of the box is 3.5ghz but I have mine running a little higher at 4.2 and there is still a lot more room left

I got this and overclocked it to 4.4Ghz without any issues at all. Runs at 48c at 100% stress test for 12 hours, idles at 18c (water cooled h110i GT)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris1989 First Intel CPU
Previously have had AMD processors from the K6-2 until the Phenom II 965.
All i can say, is im blown away from single core performance and the sheer power compared to the AMD competitors. Also due to the lower power requirements of the processor as well.
Yes could have gone with the previous Gen for the Intel processors, but wanted to make the most out of my new system though.
With default settings with my re-used Corsair H80i, the idle temp is 22c and not seen it go above 30c whilst in a game.
Although, i most likely would have stayed with AMD if they had something decent, what wasn't a part upgrade (Although, either case would have needed a new Motherboard)

I have not had a lot of time to get to grips with this CPU but the time I have had has been flawless. It paired up with my R9 390 perfectly allowing for speedy editing, gaming or anything I have wanted to do.
It performed well in both Cinebench and PCMark and runs very cool with the CM Hyper 212 EVO. The fact that it is a K-Series Chip allows for some good overclockability that I will be taking full advantage of in the near future. This should prolong the life of the chip significantly and also make it amiable for streaming.
It was delivered promptly by SCAN and the ScanSure Insurance gave me piece of mind that I couldn't mess it up on my first build.
All in all a great product, would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Xander Lucky on the binning?
I knew this cpu was decent but with the new technologies it allows for it's a good upgrade from my 980x.
It's sitting at 4.6Ghz with a 1.3v core and maxes out in the mid 50s with a Dark Rock Pro 3 inside a Core V21. Everything is quiet and thus far stable (been running it about a month now with varied loads).
Seems to beat out the previous i5 Devil's Canyon in performance per clock and suits my desire for a quiet and powerful system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by skren Best cpu for gamming.
I'm using this CPU with Asus Z170 PG and Samsung m.2 SSD and I'm really happy.
Good, easy to overclock ( I'm using it with Noctua NH-D14 cooler) and way cheaper than i7 6700K.
