As a fully analogue headphone amp, iFi’s ‘Zen Can’ has no digital input at all, USB or otherwise. It effortlessly connects to any audio source via an analogue output, such as the headphone out from a Digital Audio Player, laptop, tablet or smartphone, or even the RCA outputs from a CD player or phono stage.

active EQ circuitryBehind ‘XBass’ is iFi’s active EQ circuitry which meets an often-common gripe with headphones head-on, the lack of bass.
Open-back headphones in particular, often allow all frequencies (especially those precious bass frequencies which the drives generate so little of) to leak freely from the back, rather than trapping and redirecting them back to your ears.
‘Xbass’ equalisation is a much greater solution to bass correction than seen anywhere else. It’s made up of active and passive components and its brilliant frequency response curve corrects their low-end response problems with unparalleled accuracy.

Zen Can: Analogue Headphone Amplifier
ifi audioMeet the ZEN CAN.
As an all-analogue headphone amp, the ZEN CAN has no digital input of any kind, USB or otherwise. It connects to any audio source with analogue output, such as the headphone output from a DAP (Digital Audio Player), a laptop, a tablet or a smartphone, or the RCA outputs from, say, a CD player or phono stage.
It could be paired with the ZEN Blue to add Bluetooth reception, or combined with the ZEN DAC to upgrade the DAC’s headphone amp stage. As well as a headphone amp, it can double as a preamp to feed a power amp and speakers or a pair of active speakers.
