Adapter with Stylish Aluminium Enclosure

ICY BOX IB-AC6034-U3 for a 2.5" SATA SSD / HDD consists of an adapter SATA to USB 3.0 with an included power supply plus aa aluminium enclosure. You can use them separately or together. Connect the SSD/HDD with the adapter directly to a computer, multimedia player or similar devices. If you like you can put the adapter and the SSD/HDD into the box. Or you use the box as a dust protected HDD storage solution


The Big Silver Treasure Chest

A 2.5" SATA HDD up to 9.5" mm can be stored in this stylish enclosure. Naturally you could use higher HDDs without the delivered enclosure. We do recommend to use the included enclosure in order to protect the fragile HDDs from scratches and dust.


Installation in A Breeze

The HDD adapter supports HotSwap and Plug & Play. this means the HDDs can be exchanged and replaced by just disconnecting them and connecting another one instead. no driver nor screws are needed in order to use the adapter. just open the box on the side, connect your HDD to the adapter and a blue LED will indicate you as for the status of your HDD.


Full Throttle

Most user like the USB 3.0 standard thanks to the fact it offers 5 Gbit/s. In this way, even a large amount of data can be transferred very quickly. Additionally, for 2.5" HDDs just one cable supplies both data and power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs. This product is perfect for my needs. Some reviewers have mentioned the short cable, yes, the cable is short, but cable extensions are cheap and easily available. In conclusion, this is an excellent product, does the job perfectly, and is reasonably priced. The only minor whinge, is that there were no instructions for initializing and formatting the SSDs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Boxing Clever I had just upgraded my SSD and didn't need to put the old one in another computer, so I came across this great little box with and adaptor. This has proven really useful as I can now copy folders from my laptop to desktop and vice versa with ease and not have to worry about space so much as I would with a memory stick. Construction wise, it's fairly basic and I would have liked a more positive way of closing the box as it always pops open. No real danger of the SSD falling out. Definitely one of the better little toys I've bought.

will this work on usb 1 macbook pro mid 2010?

I am not sure, but If you are able to initialize and format the SSDs, I cannot see any reason why not
