The dual-chamber layout separates the visible hardware from cable management and supporting components, helping maintain a clean presentation while providing generous space behind the motherboard tray for routing cables. Tool-less top and side panels provide convenient access during installation and maintenance, while the L-shaped rubber grommet, routing channels, tie-down points and reusable Velcro straps help keep cabling organised.

Install Large Graphics Cards Vertically

The 4-slot vertical GPU layout gives the Y70 the capacity to accommodate even large, high-performance graphics cards while maintaining airflow space between the graphics card and side glass. The chassis supports graphics cards up to 422mm in length and 105mm in thickness, while the included PCIe 4.0 x16 riser cable enables vertical GPU installation without requiring a separate riser. The vertical graphics card arrangement also leaves seven half-height horizontal PCIe slots available behind the GPU for additional expansion hardware.

Build a High-Performance Cooling System

The Y70 provides extensive cooling flexibility with support for up to ten fans throughout the chassis. The top supports up to three 120mm or two 140mm fans, while the side accommodates up to three 120mm or two 140mm fans and the rear supports a single 120mm or 140mm fan. The bottom can also accommodate three 120mm or two 140mm fans up to 32mm thick, directing fresh air directly towards the vertically mounted graphics card. Dust filters on the top, side and bottom help reduce dust entering the chassis.

The Y70 is designed for high-end air and liquid cooling configurations, supporting radiators up to 360mm on both the side and top. The side radiator position supports units up to 125mm thick, while the adjustable top bracket supports radiators up to 68mm thick. Air cooling is also well supported with up to 180mm of CPU cooler height clearance, giving builders considerable flexibility when selecting a large tower air cooler.

Keep Cabling and Storage Organised

The dual-chamber construction moves much of the cable management away from the main display area, providing dedicated space for routing and securing cables behind the motherboard. Reusable Velcro straps and integrated cable-routing channels simplify installation, while floating storage sleds that eject from the rear of the chassis provide convenient access for drive maintenance. Storage support includes up to two 3.5-inch hard drives or four 2.5-inch SSDs.
