Doesnt work on Asus P8z-77I have had 2 of these now and they both do the same thing, they disappear during file transfer, I have had troubleshooting help from Highpoint and they ended up saying its either faulty or my system does not support the chipset. So fantastic card when it works, overall useless for me.

Does Exactly as you would expect No Problems!!My first complete PC rebuild for quite a while meant I had done all my research, costing, compatibility checks etc etc. So this time I was going to go for it no expense spared. if I need bigger and better I did. So after spending more than £4K on components, MOBO, Case etc I thought I had everything covered. Nope I had 2 x 2 M2. SSD, 2 x 2 SSD and 2 Mechanicla drive I ran out of SATA 6 ports. Seems I didn't do such a good job on the research. However purchased this card for Asus Z170 WS Motherboard with Windows 10. Slotted it in connected the additional cables (comes with four nice blue SATA leads) rebooted and hey presto windows updated he drivers and all working without any problems. A simple and quick solution.

Finally, a sata card that works.I have tried various cheaper makes in order to expand the number of sata ports in my computer. After finally taking the wise decision to invest more money, I now have a card that has worked from day 1 and has not given me any reasons to regret the money spent.
It is absolutely brilliant for hot swapping HDDs.
I have not the slow boot as my Asus motherboard has always been slow at booting and it is not something that worries me too much.
Add to that the excellent service I get from Scan and I know that I can't ask for more.
Is this compatible with a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R, SLi, Intel X58 Express Motherboard
I want to be able to add 2 x SATA 3 ports for an SSD (Samsung) Disk. Will this card be compatible with this motherboard and will the PCIe throughput support 6Gbs for the SATA 3 standard?
I see some of these cards only support PCIe 1 or PCIe 2 x1, so I am assuming this spec (x4) will give the required throughput from the PCIe V2 x16 slot in the motherboard?
I am currently using one of the PCIe slots for the graphics card, but the other slot is free
Appreciate your advice before I order
Thanks

The box says x16 too, I had 3Gbs and 6Gbs drives installed and the transfer speed was excellent until the card disappears and you have to reboot so is it compatible with your board? Good question, Highpoint could not tell me but It doesnt look like its compatible with mine. Asus P8-Z77

Does this card support non-raid volumes?
I note the specification says JBOD - no.
Can I connect 4 drives and have them presented to the OS as 4 separate volumes? ie not a RAID array Just a Bunch Of Disks?
TIA
Mike

Can I install two of these cards into my pc?

Hello,
Providing you have the PCIe slots available and suitable power you should be able to install multiple of these.
