Alternate Spinning Gives you Better Airflow

Image to show how air flows through the alternating fans

No turbulence Here The GIGABYTE “Alternate Spinning” is the only solution that can solve the turbulent airflow of adjacent fans. Since the adjacent fans rotate in the same direction, the airflow direction is opposite between the fans, which will cause turbulent airflow and reduce heat dissipation efficiency. GIGABYTE turns the adjacent fans in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure.

Unique Fan Blades

Image to show how unique fan blades

Aerodynamic & FreshGigabytes WindForce system features blades with a triangular blade edge that works to guide air through aerodynamic 3D channels on the blades surface to enhance the airflow giving you a much higher cooling efficiency, these superb 3D active fans also provide semi-passive cooling meaning the fans will only spin up when the GPU is put under high/stressful load, if demand is less the Gigabyte 2070 WindForce 2X runs virtually silent allowing you to use your system with minimal distractions.

Composite Heat-Pipes

Let the heat out The composite heat-pipe combines thermal conductivity and phase transition to efficiently manage the heat transfer between two solid interfaces which increases cooling capacity.

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 WINDFORCE 2X V1 8GB GDDR6 Ray-Tracing Graphics Card, 2304 Core, 1410MHz, 1620MHz Boost is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Card Upgraded to this GPU From a GTX 970 Because it started to fail on me. Overall it’s made a huge difference in performance higher FPS in games at higher graphics settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed new power supply, but works great! I got this thinking my power supply would work fine with it, but needed to upgrade (from 500w to 850w). Before upgrading the PC would just turn off when doing any kind of high-quality gaming. Apart from that, it works great! High FPS on all games and you get the ray tracing in supported games. Now I just need to upgrade the CPU...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent enough 2070 Plastic shroud makes the product feel light and a bit flimsy - but you ain’t knocking nails in with it. I thought it ran hot (between 75 and 80 degrees) in games but apparently this is normal. Fans are fairly quiet even at 100%, well let’s just say less intrusive than some cards I have had. Some people have commented about noise and rattle but this is not evident on my card. The specs say it boosts to 1620Mhz. Mine boosts to 1850Mhz under standard configuration and I have managed to get it to boost to 2200Mhz with Afternurner. The memory also happily runs at +650 MHz.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fan rattle is too much. Bought this card last week and while I appreciate it's the least expensive 2070 available the heat sink/fan assembly did not perform well. It runs hot out of the box with a 81 degrees temp limit (default). which ramps the fans up to ~80% speed. This is where the problem lies. any speed above ~75% and the fans rattle/vibrate badly. I curbed this by setting power limit to 80% and temp to max 70 degrees with afterburner and the card performs ok. There's also a fan revving issue where the fans rev up and down constantly at low speed. Setting a fan profile cures this and if this was the only problem I could have lived with it. Because overall I liked the card and it is a good price. But the fan rattle was just too much for me on a £400 purchase. Currently in the process of returning to exchange for a different model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rattling noise and overheats fast After 1 month of using this card I can see why it's priced on the lower end of the 2700 spectrum. Benchmarks etc are ok (it's a 2700 after all) but the problem is the high temps I'm hitting with this card all the time. Before I bought this gpu I used to have an msi gtx 970 and playing overwatch on all low settings my gpu temp wouldn't go past 62 C. On this card with the exact same settings I'm hitting mid to high 70s all the time on the same exact settings. On more demanding games like Apex Legends, Assassin's Creed Origins or Red Dead Redemption 2 my temps never go below 81 C. What's interesting is that the fans don't really make that much of a difference and even when I set a very aggressive fan curve my temps didn't budge much (which probably means the heatsink is not very good). Which brings me to the second problem: the fans. After my fan speed went above 60% I started hearing a rattling noise which became unbearable to listen to as my fan speed increased. You can google videos on youtube recording the noise. This seems to be a problem with the Windforce line of cards. I'm honestly not satisfied with the product and given its current performance don't expect it to last half as long as my gtx 970 which is as good today as it was 5 years ago when I bought it which is why I'm currently talking to scan about replacing the card with a different model. If you're looking to upgrade to a 2070 I wouldn't recommend this particular card.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For gamers, for 3D artists I am a 3D artist, working mostly in game art devlopment, using unreal engine, and Zbrush, Substance Painter, Mrvelous Designer, 3ds Max. Before I bought this card RTX2070, I had a quadro K4200 purchased from Scan as a whole rig for modellers, back in time when I was still a student. Unfortunately the old card was good enough but no way for 3D and no use for games. After I purchased this new gpu, all sotware I use works perfect, and unreal just flies! My fps have jumped up so high that I had to change the speed of the charcter in the 3D game I am working on, funny heh. I could not recommend it better. My budget allowed me to get 2070, but it is honestly running any games (well optimised or not) on my pc now on highest settings and with no complaint. It is also super quiet! I dont even know my pc is on.
