Fractal Design ARC Mini R2 micro-ATX Compact Performance Case with USB 3.0 w/o PSU is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I unreservedly recomend this case. I don't normally bother writing reviews but this product deserves a mention. I bought mine for a new build and I am so happy I chose this case over the others available and given another free choice would buy it again.. The overall design and build quality is exceptional and there is a lot of attention to detail throughout. I'm certainly impressed by the vast array of options it has to offer particularly when it comes to cooling and media storage. To be honest I can't really fault it for the money but if I were to be ultra picky I'd say that the power button could be a little more substantial. Don't get me wrong its perfectly adequate but a heavy handed user could destroy it I feel. The dust filers are easy to get off, the fan mounting options are as much as any case could ever offer, the paint quality is excellent as is the colour scheme if you like black and white (and I do it looks classy) the list of features is as long as your arm with this case and easily researched on their website or you tube. And I can vouch for the advertising blurb on the website it does and is as good as they say it is. Definitely worth paying a bit extra for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oozes Quality Don't be fooled by the "micro ATX" size. Easily fit a Maximum VIII Gene and a 165mm high cooler, with space for 2 front fans, rear fan, base fan and top fan. Just enough clearance for an Asus twin frozr G4 GTX970 without taking the middle cage out. Good clearance at the back of the mobo tray for cable routing although you do need to be careful to lay your cables out neatly to avoid squashing them too much. Great case to build in. Would have been nice if the 3 fans provided were PCM, rather than DC controlled, as you have better low speed control, but that's my only gripe. All in all a well built case that runs cool and quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good design lots of space I really like this case. I like that you can pretty much take everything out of it so you can maximise airflow ect. The side window is smoked I like that when u look into it you only see things that illuminate ect. Nothing really bad I can say. I'd buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to work with and excellent build quality I was seriously impressed by what this case offers. It is easily the best case I've owned in terms how easy it is to work with, the cable management on offer and the build quality. It looks good too; not overly boring yet nowhere near as ugly as some performance/gaming orientated cases. The only thing I'm unsure about is the tinted side window. Ideally I would've liked to have it without a side window altogether and a side window tinted as much as the one on this case doesn't seem to make sense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great M-atx case Very good case from Fractal again, supplied with good quite fans for the price, and includes 2 x 120 & 1 x 140. Good clearance for cables in the back, with a good CPU cut out for other coolers to fit well. I personally used the 2 ssd positions on the back of the M/board plate for ease of installations as they will never be needed to be touched with configuration changes or upgrades. Only wished that they could of had a fan position in the side window to cool GFX card and M/B. Great buy for the price, and will serve many an upgrade option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customisability I ripped out the drive bays and now it seems pretty empty but it has improved airflow and made space for some mods I plan on doing I also love the amount of radiator support. I will mention it came with no film over the window which I would of liked to keep it scratch free for a while I make space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An outstanding case! This case is brilliant! For a micro-ATX gaming PC build, this case ticks all the boxes and at an excellent price. The case is made from strong, sturdy material. The side panels have little flex in them even with the window side panel. Screws and fittings have weight and feel robust. The plastic bezel is sturdy and easy to remove as well as having an attractive brushed aluminium look. The tinted window is very attractive, making the inside of your finished build subtle but still viewable. The dust filters are a great addition. The front bezel filter is easy to remove and clean as well as the top filter which only needs the removal of two thumb screws. The bottom filter is easy to get to unlike other cases. The feet are high enough for it to be removed without lifting the case. The inside is, again, very well designed. The HDD cage is modular, allowing me to remove the top cage (which was unnecessary to me at the time) allowing more airflow from my front fans to my graphics card. The motherboard tray is good and i`ve had no problem with fitting my motherboard into the case. The cable management area behind the tray has adequate space for all my cables and the holes are fitted with rubber grommets. The dedicated SSD mounts behind the motherboard tray is very clever but again I didn`t need them. The top HDD cage can be put in a different orientation to allow greater airflow if you are needing the top cage. The power supply mount is fitted with padding which will stop it from rattling. The large case feet allows the power supply to breathe and can expel the heat much more effectively unlike some cases with lower feet. Overall this is an outstanding case; a must-buy for people building micro-ATX systems. For its size it offers excellent airflow to all those hot components. The price tag is staggering considering all the features that would normally be seen in more expensive cases. A huge thumbs up to Fractal Design!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good case for the price Everything is great except for the fact that the motherboard tray is slightly off so your sockets won't line up 100% with the backing plate that comes with your motherboard. It still works fine. Btw, had 2 cases, same problem.

Questions & Answers

Does it have a windowed side panel?

Asked by: Mikey3198
Yes. The window is "smoked" effect perspex, so you won't see much when powered off, but will see all the pretty LEDs and other bits of lighting when on, if that's your thing.
