For competitive play, the detachable noise-cancelling microphone uses environmental noise cancellation to reduce distractions such as keyboard and mouse noise, while hardware-based sidetone lets you monitor your own voice in real time. When you're listening to music or watching films, simply remove the microphone and use the FG3 as a straightforward pair of over-ear headphones. FiiO Control WEB gives you plenty of scope to tailor the headset without installing a traditional desktop application. You can adjust a 10-band EQ, select different gaming, Cinema and Music profiles, and configure microphone monitoring directly through your browser. The FG3 is also designed for broad compatibility, with support for PC, consoles, laptops and mobile devices via its USB connectivity.

The practical stuff hasn't been overlooked either. The FG3 features folding earcups, replaceable earpads and multifunction inline controls, making it easy to pack away or adjust during a session. At around 315g including the microphone, it remains a relatively manageable package for a headset packing this much hardware.
