The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.
Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Great Case very well made.Fantastic case, Extremely large, very well built, very good looking.
If I had to pick something negative I would say with the price of this Case they should have provided top end fans.
The fans it comes with are branded EVGA but they are a bit noisy, I have since replaced them all for Nanoxia DS 140's and my case is now totally silent.
Overall very pleased with this case.

An intimidating sightThe first impression you get when your DG87 arrives, no matter how prepared you thought you were for the size, is 'woah'. This thing is a monster and the box it arrives in is, obviously, even bigger.
To get the cons out of the way.
* Build quality could be better. A part of the lid is slightly coming away from where it's supposed to sit. The external plastic parts feel a little flimsy, especially when you have to figure out where to lift it from.
* The manual has errors such as warning you to take care to install motherboard standoffs correctly, when the standoffs are already built in, leading to some confusion.
* When I pushed in my brand new evga power supply, something left a deep scratch all the way along it. I know I can't see it but c'mon it was so shiny!
* I had a weird experience transferring my computer over to this case where it wouldn't boot, wouldn't post, would give off beep serieses that weren't in the manual and while i have ruled stuff out, I've not been able to explain it. Was my board being shorted by the case somehow? I couldn't find anyone else suffering this, but I don't know.
* It looks glorious
* Excellent cable management, mostly due to its size
* Good water cooling support
* Practicality is great with the doors and other similar features
* Fan controller and temp monitor are great
All in all, very satisfied and no regrets. Go for it.
