Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case - Direct Airflow Path Cooling For Revolutionary Performance is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great case, great cooling This is the best case if you are aiming for cooling. It is a bit noisy so you will need to replace all the fans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent case, mass airflow So i bought this case for my new build, i had used the air 240 for my partners recent build and fancied the big brother for my build. This case has brilliant design and is so simple to build in. I love the fact that all the cable management is behind the petition, if you cannot complete a tidy build in this case then you should not be building a pc. The one downside is the case filters, on the smaller 240 it came with a removable magnetic fan filter for the psu, this case does not have one so you have to pay an extra £60 from a 3rd party to make this case less of a dust magnet. Overall though the best case i have ever built in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product but let down by noisy fans This is one of the easiest cases to work with. Loads of room & nothing ever feels cramped or wanting for space. The airflow is excellent & the clear panel shows off the insides a treat. However, five stars are just missed because the supplied fans are very noisy. I replaced them within a few days with Noctua fans to realise the true potential of quality & noise suppression. The case is quite chunky but it grows on you & I'm very glad I bought this as my components stay very cool and overall I would recommend this product without reservation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What can i say i aam in the middle with this case First and foremost do not get me wrong I like the concept of this case, I have an i7 6700k with a corsair h105 and i have it overclocked to 4.6 ghz and not under load it runs at 20degrees and my graphics card a zotac gtx 970 extreme core edition runs at 45 under load and 30 stable. So its cooling capabilities are excellent and thats because of the separate compartment housing the psu and most of the wires. But and this is the thing I do believe it is not especially high quality for its price the drive bays are shall we say flimsy and you do not get any dust filter for the top and rear fan compartments and the side panel is flimsy.. In a way I feel as though you pay for concept alone and not quality of build. So at the moment at this price because of no other case on the market in this price bracket is designed like this,I would recommend it some manufacturers will jump on board sooner or later ,Some have but they are three hundred pounds OUCH, Anyway I digress :) I say if you need a case now get this one but if you can wait and if you are looking at this page I guess you cannot:) their will be other better built dual chamber cases for the same sort of money down the line. Thanks for reading thats my rant over I am off to take over the galaxy in civ beyond earth you know what they say to infinity and beyond LOL :) BTW its a big square case imagine 1 and 1/2 mid tower cases joined together lengthways not height , yes it is that big but for its cooling capabilities I can put up with it can you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Airflow Great case for a build where size of case is not the main factor. Very easy to get neat cable runs and to keep the maximum airflow. Putting the PSU on the closed side leaves the case open for showing off all of your components. This was used for a high end workhorse PC and delivered a great result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of room with a good build quality. I bought this case as I wanted more room to put my components in, it is big enough to have a decent cable management behind he mobo. However the downside to this was the fact that the specs say a 360mm rad in the front and a 280mm rad in the top, but be warned that it will not take both. I had to remove a fan from the 360 in the front to allow them both to fit, with some modification to the cas as well. But overall it's a prime example of why I will be sticking to corsair cases and power supplies from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the untidy builder My last case was an Antec 900 which served me well, however with 4 hard disks and a blu ray drive it all felt a bit cramped, and I wasn't able to upgrade to a 970 GTX due to the length requirements. With this case there's far more room and fitting everything in is much easier, especially with the dedicated drive cages. It's also been very nice to put everything in without having to worry too much about airflow since all the cables are separate from the motherboard / graphics card. The only thing I would say is that the case feels a bit cheap. This this price point for this much case I wouldn't expect wonders, but compared to the Antec 900 it does feel a bit flimsy.

How loud is the case and the fans that are included?

I really like my fans in a case to be quiet, and the case itself, so I was wondering how loud it is and if I would need to change it
Asked by: ImAMolerat
The fans that are in the case aren't actually that loud. As you would expect from a quality brand like Corsair with the more expensive stuff better fans are supplied. However I am no longer using the case fans that came with it, for the time I was using them I was having no issues with lots of sound coming from them. Now I have replaced the default ones with AF140 Silent Edition the case is virtually silent with the only sounds ever coming from my Radiator/Pump.

Can I buy dust filters suitable for this case?

Corsair don't supply dust filters with this case, can I buy them separately?
Asked by: MrMotorrad
It is supplied with a dust filter on the front, nothing on the top. Any thin 280 rad dust cover should do the trick.

What DVD writers will work when mounted vertically in this case

Asked by: Beedy
As far as I know you don't need a specific one. I have an LG BH10LS38 blu ray drive I got a couple of years ago and just stuck that in without issue. I have to be a bit careful when putting the disk in to make sure it doesn't fall out, but once the drive is closed everything has worked fine.
