Product Overview Everything You Need, Nothing You Don't.
Designed for Easy Builds
Less work. More play. Build with the Carbide Series 200R and the only time you’ll need to pick up a screwdriver is to install the motherboard. The side panels and expansion slots use thumbscrews, and SSD, hard drive and optical drive installation are all tool-free. Cutouts for cable routing and CPU cooling make builds and upgrades neat and simple.

Easy to Expand, and Easy to Cool
Carbide Series 200R is compact, but it’s designed to let you build high-performance systems with massive storage, extra graphics performance, and superior cooling and ventilation. You get seven PCI-E slots, and you can install up to four hard drives and four SSDs at once. Eight fan mounting points let you expand your cooling system to match your high-performance components.

Easy to Use
The mid-tower form factor combines room for expandability and out-of-the-way exterior dimensions. USB 3.0, headphone and microphone ports are right up front, and the front intake dust filter helps keep the interior clean.

Chassis Airflow
Chassis Airflow

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Small Corsair case I was left a little disappointed with this case as I was hoping to have been able to fit in a water cooling loop but sadly with the (two) motherboards I wanted to put in there neither one would let me install the dual rad that's could fit at the top of the case! Aside from that, it's well made, small and fairly light even with everything installed in it.. I would have liked to see a few more bundled fans with the case, but it's not the end of the world that they aren't there. It has a few spaces for hard drives and one spot for an SSD which is a nice touch as it keeps it tidy. USB 3 as well so it'll always support the newer USB sticks and give you easy access to them. The case looks smooth and isn't a look at me, look at me case. Subtle I believe :) Overall I like the case, I just wish it was a little bit taller so you could easily fit in the dual rad at the top. It doesn't matter as it's an air cooled system, but would have been nice to have it water cooled!! 09 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good product I bought this case so that I could fit a bigger graphics card and an ATX motherboard when I upgrade in the future. It has a lot of space inside, I currently have a MicroATX board and a R9 series graphics card (quite large) installed and there is still ample space left for upgrading. Access is relatively easy with the side-panel being slid off easily after undoing thumb-bolts, the PSU is mounted on the bottom of the case at the back, so I found installing components easier than with my old case which had a top-mounted PSU. There are a lot of cut-outs for wiring to be conveniently routed behind the motherboard which keeps the case clear of loose wiring. It is a good case overall and it seems solidly built, so it should last. 18 April 2014

I'm looking to buy this case with a future project build and I was hoping that a Scythe Mugen 4 cooler would fit in the case with an Asus Rampage 775 motherboard. Please could someone confirm that it would fit please?

Answer:
According to the Corsair website a max CPU cooler height of 16cm can be fitted, the Mugen 4 is 15.6cm tall so yes it should just fit in.
