With Blackmagic Design’s ‘Ultra Studio Recorder 3G’, it’s now possible to connect Thunderbolt 3-ready systems to any form of video equipment for building high-performance edit workstations, archiving from old broadcast decks, outputting broadcast graphics and also live streaming. It’s simple, just connect the Thunderbolt 3 port to enjoy a wide range of video and audio connections which operate in all SD and HD formats, up to 60 fps.
Connections include SDI, HDMI with broadcast quality 10-bit YUV and 12-bit RGB in Apple ‘ProRes’ and uncompressed file formats. ‘UltraStudio’ was designed to work seamlessly alongside popular video software on Mac, Windows and Linux such as ‘Da Vinci Resolve’, ‘Avid Media Composer’, ‘Adobe Premiere Pro’, ‘Final Cut Pro’ and so many more.
