Rated 3 out of 5 by from An external Blu-Ray combo that you cannot play Blu-ray movies on! I would recommend this product. You can do everything with Blu-ray, DVD and CD (except watch Blu-ray movies). I just wish it was written clear as day on the Scan ad and on the product packaging itself that this does not come with Blu-ray playback software. You have to buy this software separately, an extra £25 in UK there may be free workarounds available but I prefer the real deal. I have given the product an average rating only because of the lack of information provided on the Scan ad and the product itself.

Does this play Ultra HD 4K Blu Rays?

All you need is the likes of=VLC player,MPC-HC,ect,ect,Which are all free,and will play Ultra HD 4K Blu Rays.

Does this write to CDR(W)?

The specifications section gives write speeds for DVD and BR but says "CD Writing Speed: N/A" which suggests it can't burn CDR(W)s. Is this info correct?
