30% Cooler & 3x Quieter Performance

DirectCU III GPU Cooling Tech

Achieve up to 30% extra cooling performance when gaming with the exclusive DirectCU III cooling technology. This tech features direct-GPU contact heat-pipes that will transport more heat away from the GPU and out-perform the reference designs.

Max Air Flow 105% More Air Pressure

Triple Wing-Blade GPU Cooling

DirectCU III features triple 0dB fans engineered with a patented wing-blade design that delivers maximum air flow and improved 105% static pressure over the heat sink, while operating at 3X quieter volumes than reference cards. The 0dB fans also let you enjoy games in complete silence and make DirectCU III the coolest and quietest graphics card in the market.

GPU Controlled Fan Headers

When you are gaming it is commonly found GPU temperatures are higher than that of the CPU, due to chassis fans usually referencing CPU temps only - resulting in inefficient cooling. The ROG STRIX 1080 graphics card features two 4-pin GPU controlled headers that can be connected to system fans fort argeted cooling on your GTX 1080 Ti.

ASUS 1080 Ti Aura RGB Lighting

Featuring Aura RGB Lighting on both the shroud and backplate, ROG STRIX graphics cards are capable of displaying millions of colors and six different effects for a personalized gaming system (as seen above).

A More Reliable GTX 1080 Ti

This 1080 Ti, like various other ASUS boards has had premium alloy components intergrated into their graphics card designs to reinforce the overall reliability. Super Alloy Power II components greatly enhance 1080 Ti efficiency, reduce power loss and achieve thermal levels that are approximately 50% cooler than previous designs.

Enjoy Immersive Virtual Reality Experience

ROG Strix graphics cards have two HDMI ports for connecting a VR device and three display at the same time, so you can enjoy immersive virtual reality experiences anytime without having to swap cables.

GeForce® GTX graphics cards provide a powerful next-generation platform for the ultimate immersive virtual reality experience. Rigs and cards marked with "GeForce GTX VR Ready" ensure that your VR games will be optimized with a best-in-class GPU.

Immersive VR requires seven times the graphics processing power of traditional 3D apps and games. NVIDIA's unique set of features - such as multi-res shading - mean you get the right level of performance, image quality, and latency to ensure your VR experience is nothing short of amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding OC perfomance I am using it for playing games and video rendering. Still no issues and always working under higher usages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Almost 2 times faster than my previous Zotac 980ti extreme. Temperature never go above 70deg, very quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If only it came in white! Fantastically quiet card, maxes out at 70 degrees on 40% fan speed and is hardly noticeable. Syncs with Aura fine, but the white is a little purple in tone, pure white isn't really possible but its a small niggle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packed extensively; properley cared for Packed with a lot of wrapping to keep the box secured, this product came with many other items all at once and yet I expected them to be damaged, but they were not. Had a lot of layers to protect it from the elements or physical damage, works brilliantly and the colour is gorgeous. Preset colours are great but the software driver was a nightmare to find (search round Reddit)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wonderful card spoiled by massive coild whine! Unfortunately I had to return two of these cards back due to unbelievable coil whine. I could here the whine through my case, located under the desk; even when V-Sync and G-Sync were on and the fps was around 100... A little bit of whine is fine, but these were unacceptable. Not at this price bracket, no! If you don't believe me, you can search YouTube for 1080ti coil whine and you will see how many of those videos are of an ASUS card. I even changed from a Corsair HX850i PSU to a 1000W Be Quiet Dark Power Pro, which did not cure the whine. (Though bequiet PSU is quieter than Corsair). In the end I switched to an EVGA 1080 ti SC2, which has much less coil whine. It still whines in insane fps, but in normal game play I can't really hear it through the case, so I could finally put my RGB tempered glass case back on my desk. Other than the whine, this was a beast of a card. It performed slightly better than the SC2 and it looked better in my opinion. It was also very quiet. It is a shame really, because if coil whine wasn't really an issue I would buy this card again with eyes closed. Big thanks to Scan though. They sent me a replacement and gave a refund for the second card, with which I bought the EVGA. Superb customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you've got more money than sense. . . These cards are just too expensive - but if it's what you need or want, then go for it. My need was for something to drive 3 UHD (2560*1440) monitors, the PC being built in a relatively small case and replacing 3 PC's used in the previous setup. I didn't want to use a 2 card/SLI set-up or any form of water-cooling & my previous good experience with ASUS products pointed me in the direction of this card. Performance is stupendous, whilst being power efficient. The card is big, but not too big - the main potential problem being that is takes up 2.5 (essentially 3) slots - so it limits options for using other cards. It is suitable heavy in the hand. The integral LED's are controlled by ASUS's included software - I have mine set-up just to monitor the card's temperature, but there are other options if you want more bling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gpu but pricey Love the card and noticed a surprising instant FpS increase compared to strix 980ti.

Questions & Answers

Is the OC version of the ROG Strix 1080 Ti much hotter and noisier than the regular Strix?

Hi, I notice you have two versions of this card - OC and non-OC. I want to buy one, but don't know which. I suppose there would be some FPS gain in going for this version at the expense of heat, noise and shortened component life, or are these not enough of a consideration to worry about? I game in 1440p and have an i7 5820K and X99 Deluxe II board. Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

Hello, Although this may run slightly louder and hotter the difference would be minimal and I wouldn't expect you would really be able to notice until you were very accurately measuring them. The components life span shouldn't really be reduced by any great means either - the GPU should survive more than long enough to see you through a few generations. Regards,
