ENHANCED GTX 1080 COOLING

Max Air Flow 105% More Air Pressure

Triple Wing-Blade GPU Cooling

DirectCU III features triple 0dB fans engineered with a patented wing-blade design that delivers maximum air flow and improved 105% static pressure over the heat sink, while operating at 3X quieter volumes than reference cards. The 0dB fans also let you enjoy games in complete silence and make DirectCU III the coolest and quietest graphics card in the market.

FANCONNECT CONTROLLED GPU COOLING

GPU Controlled Fan Headers

When you are gaming it is commonly found GPU temperatures are higher than that of the CPU, due to chassis fans usually referencing CPU temps only - resulting in inefficient cooling. The ROG STRIX 1080 graphics card features two 4-pin GPU controlled headers that can be connected to system fans fort argeted cooling on your GTX 1080.

STRIX 1080 EMBEDDED LED

ASUS 1080 Aura RGB Lighting

Featuring Aura RGB Lighting on both the shroud and backplate, ROG STRIX graphics cards are capable of displaying millions of colors and six different effects for a personalized gaming system (as seen above).

GPU DURABILITY & EFFICIENCY

A More Reliable GTX 1080

This 1080, like various other ASUS boards has had premium alloy components intergrated into their graphics card designs to reinforce the overall reliability. Super Alloy Power II components greatly enhance 1080 efficiency, reduce power loss and achieve thermal levels that are approximately 50% cooler than previous designs.

VR FRIENDLY GTX 1080 HDMI PORTS

Enjoy Immersive Virtual Reality Experience

ROG Strix graphics cards have two HDMI ports for connecting a VR device and three display at the same time, so you can enjoy immersive virtual reality experiences anytime without having to swap cables.

GEFORCE GTX VR READY

GeForce® GTX graphics cards provide a powerful next-generation platform for the ultimate immersive virtual reality experience. Rigs and cards marked with "GeForce GTX VR Ready" ensure that your VR games will be optimized with a best-in-class GPU.

Immersive VR requires seven times the graphics processing power of traditional 3D apps and games. NVIDIA's unique set of features - such as multi-res shading - mean you get the right level of performance, image quality, and latency to ensure your VR experience is nothing short of amazing.

Asus GeForce GTX 1080 ROG STRIX GAMING 8GB GDDR5X VR Ready Graphics Card, 2560 Core, 1607MHz GPU, 1733MHz Boost, RGB LED is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just need 4K monitor now Very quite in use and can handle games in high details with no effort. Nice that it's VRready also a future upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its a gtx 1080 nuff said... So much processing power, it can even play crysis! I don't use this card for 4k gaming, so it is a little overpowered for my purposes. Comes in a nice box with a nifty folder with all your documentation and driver discs (i thought no-one uses them). The car itself is huge, make sure your motherboard has strong modern styled PCIE slots or use stands that are floating around on the internet. Also important is the CPU you will use with this card, to allow for no bottleneck anything above an high end i5 ideally an i7 will do you (don't quote me on that). The zero fan mode is nice for when your not doing anything intensive, keeps the whole thing much quieter. The rgb is not that well integrated software wise which is a shame, although they are supposed to be working on it...(as of 12/12/16) so you can actually select the colour red properly, rather than making it a pink. Suffice to say this card will be used a lot, team green!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and aesthetic even for the hefty price Pros- - nicest looking 1080 imo - fast enough to handle anything I use it for (gaming) with ease all whilst staying relatively quiet (rarely goes above the default 50C lower bound for turning on the fans) and cool. Haven't OCd yet though Cons- Expensive

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, quiet and looks super cool I've come from a Radeon 5870 so this is obviously a big jump but this card is amazing. By far the quietest card I've ever had (most of the time the fans don't even spin up!!!) and of course its fast (GTA V and Doom 2016 on max settings are both super smooth!) but the temps are great and the lighting fits my build brilliantly (nice lighting control features). The tools it comes with are great and easy to use. Would I by another? yes! Oh and I bought this card with the intention of water cooling it for a super quiet system, but its so quiet I've just left it as is and I'm only WC the CPU. Maybe if I ever overclock it I might get around to it!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Aesthetically pleasing but hot... Card gets very hot in one specific spot on the card due to the heat management by asus. For me atleast the card wouldn't pull a solid 60 FPS in GTAV 1080p which was a bummer but the refund was quick and easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid performance and passive cooling when you just want to surf. :) I bought this card to replace my 2 GTX780TI (SLI) cards i had previously. Why? You may ask as they are still power full cards! I run Dual monitors 1 standard 1080 screen and my main 4k Gsync screen. As i game on the 4K it requires some serious power to game with settings high or maxxed and the 8 GB VRAM helps. Well i'm happy to report that this card is more than capable of running the 2016 reboot of the DOOM game at 50 > 70 FPS with all settings maxxed (i do not use AA + AF at this resolution as they are not needed). The lighting can be switched off for those who find it irritating. The semi-passive cooling (fans DO-NOT spin below 60' C) is a boon for quiet movie watching and also helps cut down on bearing wear. A word of warning however i would steer clear of the ASUS OC/tweak software it caused me a few software compatibility issues. Good value and built like a tank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exellent Graphics Card I brought this Card as an upgrade from my 690GTX and it runs perfect. everything runs on very high and the card itself is really silent. plus i like that it flashes different colours just as my case does. which is cool. I recommend this to any serious gamer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Product but poorly handled launch I would like to say my confidence in Asus has hit rock bottom and this is probably the last time I will use your products. A month ago I ordered a 1080 GTX strix from one of the only 2 distributors in the UK to complete a new build using other Asus PC components. Stock was meant to be available one week after the order. This then changed to one month due to supply issues. One month passed and I was informed by the supplier that I would probably be waiting at least another. Not happy with this news I then had to think about the choices I had. Wait another month with no guarantee it would be available, cancel my order and choose a different brand, or change my order to a non-OC 1080 which was in stock but with an inflated cost due to supply and demand. The first wasn't an option, sitting under my desk was a what I can only describe as a very expensive paper weight. No GPU as you know leaves my build totally useless The second was an option but due to the choices made would have completed my build in a way that wasn't intended. (Aesthetically and technically) So I was left with no option other than to fork out extra cash for dumbed down version of the product I originally purchased. As you can imagine this has left a bitter taste in my mouth and posed the question on brand loyalty in the future. Now this may be an Nvidia issue that isn't directly your fault but as a company you launched a product that wasn't either ready or realistically achievable. I hope some lessons have been learnt from this and product launches in the future will be handled better This is not a dig at Scan, I believe they are a victim in all this too
