Modern Sound Design with Arturia MiniFreak
Thursday 22nd October @ 18.30Join Arturia’s Tom Lewis at the new Scan Pro Audio showroom for a hands-on session exploring modern approaches to synthesis and sound design using the MiniFreak.
Starting with simple sounds and building from the ground up, Tom will explore how oscillators, modulation, filtering, effects and performance controls can be combined to create everything from evolving textures and expressive leads to aggressive basses and experimental sounds.
Rather than simply running through features, the session will focus on how to think about sound design – breaking sounds into their component parts, understanding how modulation creates movement and character, and using experimentation to turn an initial idea into something unique.
Whether you're new to synthesis or already spend far too much time disappearing down sound-design rabbit holes, the session will offer practical techniques and creative ideas you can take back to your own music.
There'll also be plenty of opportunity to get hands-on with MiniFreak and other Arturia synthesizers, ask questions and make some noise!
