Active metering provides accurate, real-time visibility into power consumption, including real power monitoring for improved energy management and capacity planning. User-configurable alarm thresholds generate local and remote notifications before circuits become overloaded, enabling IT administrators to balance loads more effectively, maximise rack utilisation and help minimise the risk of unexpected downtime.
High-Density Power Distribution
With 42 output connections comprising 30 IEC C13 outlets and 12 IEC C19 outlets, the AP8886 efficiently distributes power to a wide range of rack-mounted IT equipment from a single vertical PDU. Its three-phase 400V input and 230V output provide the capacity required for high-performance racks, while the slim 0U form factor preserves valuable rack space and helps maintain organised cable management.
Centralised Network Management
Integrated remote management enables administrators to monitor and configure the PDU through web, SNMP and Telnet interfaces, simplifying power management whether onsite or remotely. The AP8886 also integrates with APC centralised management platforms, including InfraStruxure Central, Operations, Capacity and Energy Efficiency, providing enhanced visibility across multiple racks. A dedicated temperature and humidity sensor port also allows environmental monitoring to be added as infrastructure requirements evolve.

The APC NetShelter AP8886 Metered Rack PDU is designed for installation in standard 19-inch server racks using a vertical 0U mounting position. It accepts a 400V three-phase IEC 60309 32A 3P+N+PE input connection and distributes 230V power through 30 IEC 60320 C13 and 12 IEC 60320 C19 outlets, making it compatible with rack-mounted equipment that utilises standard IEC C13 and IEC C19 power connections.
