This graphics card from SAPPHIRE has been specifically designed for high-end gaming. It boasts an enhanced cooling system, powerful RX 480 speeds and a sleek design. Besides the obvious the NITRO+ 480 boasts other benefits, such as numerous smart, game enhancing technologies to accompany its powerful performance. You can rest assured with this NITRO+ RX 480 and its ability to dominate popular games with ease.

Core Clock

Boost Clock

Unlock the Potential of SAPPHIRE RX 480

Embedded into this SAPPHIRE 480 graphics card is their new NITRO Boost switch that increases the boost clock and power limit for higher performance, to unleash the gaming performance of the card. Planning to overclock or looking for maximum performance? SAPPHIRE NITRO 480 cards come with an 8 pin power connector to plug in and enable Nitro Boost.

Longer Lasting, Noise Reduced GPU Fans

SAPPHIRE's acclaimed Dual-X Cooling is powered by two massive yet silent fans and state-of-the-art radiator design. The new form of our 95mm blades mean greater airflow and superior heatsink coverage for the RX 480 graphics card, at lower noise levels compared to standard cooling designs. These feature dual ball bearing fans, which have an 85% longer lifespan than sleeve bearings in our tests.

Intellegent 480 Fan Control

With the SAPPHIRE NITRO Gaming Series cards’ intelligent Fan Control III, the fans on the 480 card starts precisely at 52 degrees Celsius to smartly balance performance against fan noise.

Redesigned RX 480 Airflow

After finding the traditional axial fan design was resulting in a higher temperature build up over time SAPPHIRE are now utlizing NITRO Free Flow. With the RX 480’s NITRO Free Flow (NFF) SAPPHIRE redesigned the airflow of the entire cooler and board, so that the hot air is expelled through the system fan instead, rapidly dissipating heat from the 480 GPU card.

Easily Upgrade and Clean GPU Fans

If there’s a fan problem with this RX 480 from SAPPHIRE, you don’t have to return the entire card – SAPPHIRE or their channel partners will send out a replacement fan directly to you! All SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX 480 fans use this Quick Connect system. That means they’re easy to remove, clean and replace, with just one screw holding them securely in place.

Easy Setup for Virtual Reality Gaming

The SAPPHIRE NITRORX 480 gaming series cards come with Dual HDMI ports, specifically designed to work with VR. By having two HDMI ports, you can have both an HD monitor and cutting-edge VR headset running at the same time.

Stylish RX 480, Give it a Glow

This RX 480 SAPPHIRE graphics card is more than another component; it’s the beating heart of your gaming system. It should look as good as it performs. With tasteful shroud design augmented by RGB LEDs, each card is practically a piece of art. You can even change the colours of the LED, for your own customized GPU design. This can be controlled via software using the latest version of SAPPHIRE’s award winning overclocking utility – TriXX 3.0, or through hardware by pressing the red button on the back of your SAPPHIRE NITRO 480 gaming series card. Users can choose from a set of five different modes including Fan Speed Mode, PCB Temperature Mode or the colourful rainbow mode. If you prefer, LEDs can also be turned off.

It's been a good start to the year for PC enthusiasts. Intel has unleashed the deca-core Core i7-6950X and Nvidia has served up a suitable partner in the form of the high-end GeForce GTX 1080. Handy, if you happen to have thousands of pounds to pour into your next PC, but for everyone else a more mainstream solution is needed to sate our appetites.

8GB Sapphire Radeon RX 480 NITRO+, 14nm Polaris, PCIe 3.0, 8000MHz GDDR5, 1208MHz GPU, 1306MHz Boost, 2304 Streams is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good card for 1080p gaming, BUT... A good card for 1080p gaming, however I would be reluctant to recommend this card to a friend. This is simply because I have two of these cards, in separate machines, and both have failed within two weeks of each other. One machine is a new build, the other is not, and both run at factory clock / no overclocking. Sapphire have agreed to RMA these cards, but in a way I wish I went for something different. Oh well, lesson learnt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RX 480 OC 1306 mhz Very nice looking card. Solid. Dual bios switch for those that need it. Can OC it if you want more power. Performs better than what I expected or need. As with all my other sapphire cards, I expect it to last for quite a few years. Perfect for me

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Card I upgraded from a R9 280X and I can say that I'm happy with the results. I have found the performance difference at 1440p considerable - allowing pretty much all my games to run at nearly MAX settings. Card is well built - no quality issues. I opted for the 8GB board rather than 4GB as the prices difference was £30 at the time and similarly priced to reference 8GB boards. Generally it's quiet - it is not silent! Considered a 1060GTX 6GB but decided that the performance difference is not significant enough in the games I have. Overall good card for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what i wanted The card is great and is everything i hoped it would be. It's quiet and cool and runs heavily modded pretty well (which is the reason why I bought this card).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Card Will sit at 1306Mhz boost clock at load without throttling while never going out of the 70s, cant really hear it over the other fans and components in the antec 900 case it resides. Despite no official support will boot up in a ex58-ud3r non uefi bios motherboard. Despite not really caring for aesthetics of components hidden in a case it is rather beautiful in the flesh. Only criticisms is the placement of the 8 pin power connector at the end of the card as opposed to on top of most other cards, as the main considerations for buying this card was price and compact size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be warned if you still use a VGA monitor Scan's service as usual was great, very fast delivery, and excellent customer services. but now to the card..........gods forbid if you still use a vga monitor cable, no analogue outputs on this card what so ever, and the cheapest cable to get it working is £30 extra, why on earth they don't supply these cards with all the adaptors etc for various technology is beyond me, 5 x digital outputs, I'm sure they could of added just a standard DVI port or something like that, or converter. I had a complete nightmare trying to get this card to display on my monitor buying various leads, I got close to just sending it back, £50 later and it finally works, I think it would have cost about the same to buy a new monitor, hence only 3 starts.
