Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good RAID controller card I have found this controller card to be very easy to install and set-up. It offers flexible options for configuration. NOTE: this card does support RAID6 though not from the BIOS. To install a RAID6 array you must set-up the array within Windows. P.S. support is pretty good as well. 07 December 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Product - Good Support from Vendor. A little pricy, but you are unlikely to find a better option for this money. Instant initialize was great and transfer of data is significantly better than an onboard solution like Intel RST which was previously in place. 28 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value for money The Highpoint RocketRAID 2720SGL represents great value for money in my view; it's easy to set up and use, is reliable and has greater flexibility than the HP RAID controllers (such as the HP P410) with regards to working in many different motherboards. This is the second one I've bought and I really rate them; this is the card I'd use if I wanted to add a RAID array to a non server motherboard. 13 August 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it says on the tin Bought this to go in my Silverstone DS380 case so I could have a 6-drive RAID6 plus a couple of spare slots. Plugged it in to the mobo and the backplane, loaded the drivers and web interface and there it was. Only problem was that RAID6 is not available from the card's BIOS, only from the web interface and the BIOS then can't see the RAID. I don't know if this means more work is offloaded to the CPU or not. Apart from that, it's working just as I'd hoped, handling loads of 3TB WD Reds. Recommended if you need the capacity but can't justify twice the price for an LSI card. 09 January 2015

Technical questions on this controller

Hi,
Can 8 drives be attached this controller and seen as 8 individule drives (No Raid)?
Could 2 of these controller cards be used in the same mother board for later expansion?
Is this compatible with Windows XP OS (although I think the drives would be limited to 2TB)?

Thanks & Best Regards
Trevor

Answer:
This card doesn't support windows xp, although it will recognise 8 individual disks as a J.B.O.D just a bunch of disks and 2 cards can be used but would be limited to bandwidth on the pcie bus.

Answer:
Hi,

It displays drives individually and also displays the raid volumes. The display also lists the number of controller cards as 1, so I imagine you probably can run more than 1. There are no Windows XP drivers on the product page where the drivers are
